Minnesota - Miami trade rumor?

PFT is reporting that Minnesota has acquired Wr Greg Camarillo from Miami for unknown compensation. One rumor has it as a Cb.

I have also heard rumors of Rice going on IR not PUP this season. If he is on IR he is gone for the year, if PUP, he could play again after 6 games.

Just FYI

Being verified by ESPN now. They are reporting multiple sources has agred with this. The trade is for a Cb from Minnesota

Interesting move. The Vikes had a couple of DBs that could be moved. Camarillo could be a big help. Benny Sapp goes back home.

This does little to help the Vikes IMO but does clear up the picture a bit in Miami where now you have only Hartline and Bess fighting for number 2. Camarillo isn't a deep threat but could be a possesion type receiver for the Vikings.

...and Camarillo just got back on the field himself from injury a few days ago.

I'll admit that he's an upgrade over Walker and who's that other kid for the Vikes, Lewis I believe? But not a lot. Camarillo was in danger of not making the team in Miami. A bye week replacement player in a ppr league and no more than that.

by the way, does this affect the status of bess or hartline? or are they still just bye week replacement/deep league only?

It certainly helps which ever one of them is the number 2 WR for the Fish. Miami opened up their offense a bit the last couple of games last season and I'm thinking they'll pass more this year.

Looks like Minnesota has added their new slot receiver. Vikes trade Sapp to Dolphins for Camarillo.

KFFL Updating previous reports, the Minnesota Vikings have traded CB Benny Sapp to the Miami Dolphins for WR Greg Camarillo, reports Judd Zulgad, of The Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Camarillo might do a little better than people think. More of a real football impact than a fantasy one. In Miami it was Hartline 2, Bess 3 and Camarillo 4 but as far a talent level is concerned it was like 2a, 2b, 2c. If Camarillo wasn't dinged up in the offseason he would have been right in that fight.

No really he can be a decent pocession type receiver on the pass happy Vikes squad. Lord knows he's a lot better than Walker for the team.

That old man has such a loaded team that even a blind monkey could pick out starters to win for him, on occasion anyway.:biglaugh:
