Soooo, they let an old back, who has shown he has gas in the tank, leave for an older back who's been running on fumes the last few years.
This seems like great news for Greene owners. Less so for Washington backers.
Thomas Jones signed a two-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday, where he is expected to be a change-of-pace runner behind Jamaal Charles. Jones will get $3 million in 2010 and $2 million in 2011.
According to Profootballtalk.com, the Jets were given a chance to match Thomas Jones' offer with the Chiefs and opted against it.

For all those who are going to tout change of pace....uh no. LT2 is NOT a change of pace back. He is an older less durable version of Greene. Now ...if they keep Washington...and use LT to replace greene for rest or injury....that would be different.
I said at first this made no sense dunno:For $5M+?
