Ravens safety Ar'Darius Washington, who was expected to play a key role in Baltimore’s defense next season, has torn his Achilles, the MRI has confirmed.

The injury, which occurred during conditioning, will cause him to miss most or all of the 2025 season.

He just signed the extension he's now unhappy with. His agent was given an opportunity to seek a trade, and 31 other teams passed on giving up assets and then paying him the ~$32M he's reportedly seeking. He's 30 years old. Call his bluff, let him sit it out, and see if another team will give him anything close to the $16M he's passing up next year. For as bad a rep as the Bengals ownership has, they opened the checkbook and gave Chase/Higgins long terms deals with guarantees beyond the first year of the deal (Burrow was first and only other time the Bengals have EVER done that). He's an amazing pass rusher, but he's not in Garrett/Crosby territory.

I don't disagree. I love how the team is not saying anything. He is stating the agreed to do a new deal for this year, but its just him saying it. I agree he is an incredible pass rusher, but he sucks big wind on run stopping. I agree with you, call his bluff, they will fine him if he holds out, so they get some of the money back off the contract. Lets see how anxious he is to not get paid.

Reports out that a movie is being made about John Madden - Nicholas Cage will play Madden, while Christian Bale will play Al Davis - I am really looking forward to this now..
