Joe Paterno passes away

Joe Paterno, the iconic former Penn State football coach whose legend was tarnished when he was fired in the aftermath of the Jerry Sandusky scandal, has died, his family confirmed Sunday. He was 85.
 
RIP Coach Paterno. When the board fired him I was incensed and everybody here wondered why. Because they killed him is why.
 
For all the good he did at Penn St, unfortunitly he will be remembered for what happened last, the scandal.

I hope people remember all the good things he did at Penn State, not the scandal. He was a very good man, from what his former players said.

And this is all the proof you need that Joe Paterno quite literally lived for Penn State. Further, this proves to me that self-righteous assholes are the scum of the universe.
 
To his family and friends and to Mr. Paterno Rest in Peace.....but

He should be remembered for the bad as well as the good....this was done for at least 15 years during Mr. Paterno's tenure( and possibly back to the 70s), so during his 60 years at Penn State, at least 25% of it involved this scandal. I will not take anything away from his coaching skills, but when you think about it when does football outweigh the allegations and the kids that were affected? Its kind of ironic that his nickname is "JoePa"....
 
Really? A good guy?!! Wow. Too bad a guy who knowingly let a grown man rape young boys over an extended period of time, and continued to let him work on his staff died in shame, legacy forever tarnished. Really, such a travesty. Seriously, condolences to the victims and their families. And kudos to the giant dicked demon currently sodomizing that egotistical morally bankrupt wrinkly piece of inhuman ****.

I don't see his time in Penn State as "good". The things that happened under his watch were horrendous, and I won't sugar coat it. I don't feel the passing of time will change my feelings much, if at all.
 
no, that's actually not an opinion. if you stand idly by and let people rape children, you are a horrible waste of life
