The coaches that ND has hired in the past were well thought of when they got to ND.....
And I disagree about Cincy having to win the Bowl Game, to finish the regular season undefeated and #3 in the BCS is something that school has never dreamed of and may never do again. It was a special season already for them.
And as far as ND is concerned, it's not a BCS game win they crave, it's a NT and they won't get one IMO, no matter who the coach is.
And Washington, no matter how bad they are right now, is a storied college program with 3 National Championships......to compare them to a Cincinnati program that has never tasted any success before the last couple years is reaching big time. And even then if you just compare regular seasons, UC went undefeated, the 2000 Huskies lost to Oregon.....
And since you mentioned Washington, I think they have a better shot of returning their program to National Title contention at some point than ND does.
