Untill this former NFL star signs somewhere I'll post his many stops on this thread.

Her's the latest...
rotoworld,

Free agent Brian Westbrook is currently en route to Denver for a visit with the Broncos on Thursday.

The Skins let him leave without a contract. In Denver, Westbrook would be an upgrade over J.J. Arrington as the Broncos' third-down back. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Broncos seem "serious" about signing Westbrook, whereas Washington and St. Louis appeared to only be kicking his tires. Denver offers a grass playing surface, which is good news for Westbrook's knees.

I tend to agree Stormin but it appears that he still has the fire to compete. Barring injury I feel as though he could help a club especially as a third down back.

Redskins GM Bruce Allen described his team's Wednesday visit with free agent Brian Westbrook as "exploratory."

Clearly, a signing isn't imminent. "We had a good meeting with him," Allen said. "And we'll probably have some meetings down the road." The Broncos, hosting him on Thursday, have a far better chance of securing Westbrook.

rotoworld,

Free agent Brian Westbrook is expected to make a decision on his new team this week, according to Howard Balzer of the St. Louis Globe-Democrat.

Westbrook has been linked to the Rams, Broncos, Redskins and Packers. Though he'll always be one hit away from injured reserve, Westbrook would still be an above average third-down back. His pass blocking and receiving skills won't decline as sharply as his quickness while running the ball.

The Washington Post is skeptical of a report that free agent Brian Westbrook will make a decision on his new team by the end of this week.

Westbrook's agent is on vacation until the end of the month, which could cause a delay in finalizing a choice before June. The Post believes the wait could decrease the odds of Westbrook landing in D.C. The Rams are easily the best fit for Westbrook in terms of need and opportunity.

Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan said the team remains interested in unrestricted free-agent RB Brian Westbrook (Eagles), reports CSNWashington.com's Ryan O'Halloran. Shanahan said he believes Westbrook would help with the team's third-down package because of ability to catch the ball as well as pass block.

While he could end up helping a couple of teams as a 3rd down back I will probably be holding my breathe every time I see him run.

rotoworld,
Coach Mike Shanahan reiterated Wednesday that free agent Brian Westbrook remains on the Redskins' radar.

It can't hurt that Westbrook's brother, Byron, is on the Skins' roster. "I'm trying to talk to his brother a little bit, trying to get in good with him," Shanahan said. "I'm not sure it's helped a whole lot, but I'll keep on trying."

rotoworld,
NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the Rams are still in contact with free agent Brian Westbrook.

La Canfora also reports that Westbrook is expected to decide between signing with St. Louis, Washington, and Denver "soon." SI's Peter King predicts that the Broncos will not be the team he chooses. If doctors determine Westbrook's knees can hold up on turf, the Rams would be his most ideal situation.

rotoworld,
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan confirmed Wednesday that the team has extended a contract offer to free agent Brian Westbrook.

"If you guys hear anything, just tell him that we're ready," Shanahan told reporters. "We want him to sign with us." No other team has been nearly as forthcoming about its interest in Westbrook. While this should appeal to the 30-year-old, the Skins' jam-packed depth chart has to be a bit of a turnoff.

I think Shanahan is relying on the fact that this would give Westbrook a chance to stick it to Philly twice a year. Not to mention the fact I have seen reports that FWP is SWP(slow that is) and is not impressing at all.

rotoworld,
The Broncos are reportedly "softening" their pursuit of free agent Brian Westbrook.

Coach Josh McDaniels has a soft spot for team-centric savvy veterans, but Westbrook never made sense with Correll Buckhalter coming off a fine season as the passing-down back. The Rams are presumably still interested, and Redskins coach Mike Shanahan recently stated that his standing offer to Westbrook is still good.

rotoworld,
Free agent Brian Westbrook acknowledged that he's yet to sign with a new team because he's holding out for more money.

"[The Redskins are] a great fit for me," Westbrook said Saturday. "It just has to make sense financially as well." Westbrook can still play, so his outlook is understandable. Still, teams don't trust him to hold up physically. He's going to have to lower his demands if he wants to play in 2010.

Westy is very similar to T.O. at this point. T.O. still thinks he is the $4 million dollar man and like Westy won't get much action until they envision themselves as $2 million men.
