The Teflon-coated roof at the Metrodome in Minneapolis has been repaired ahead of schedule Wednesday, July 13. "There doesn't seem to be any issues whatsoever," said Ted Mondale, chairman of the Metropolitan Sports Facilities Commission.

I really need a way to dislike a post (nothing against you Coachnorm - just the info you have shared :))

I wish they would just say screw it and go out about 40 miles from the Cities - buy a cornfield, throw up 100,000 seats and a bunch of parking and get back to the old Vikings football

I sensed sarcasm in the nodding smiley Zach.

I sat in the nose bleed section of that stadium back in the late 90's and it SUUUUCCCKKKKKEEEEDDDD! Was there to see Barry Sanders of the Lions play the Vikes...I saw a friggin pole, after I teetered my way up those almost vertical stairs which ended up being too far from food and restroom that why bother getting up. Terrible stadium...

It was worse for baseball. I've never seen a football game there, so I can't speak to that.

I saw a classic game vs. the Bears, where every fan who walked in bought a $5.00 (maybe $8.00) Viking headband. It was announced the next day by McMahon's agent that McMahon's company produced and profited from the sale of 45,000 headbands! The Bears got smoked in the game, but McMahon had the last laugh!! Someone might remember the game in about 1981 or so. The vikes opened the game with a kick return, then brought back the first punt of the second half for a TD. I bet they won by 4 Td's.

The last Twins game I saw was in the met vs. the Senators and Elston Howard!!! Tony Oliva, and Rod Carew were on the Twins. I hear target Stadium is real nice and has great ticket packages which bring the cost of games down to below $20.00 a ticket for left field seats.
