The Great Carolina Debate..DWill or JStew??

For what is now the 3rd year in a row of this debate, fantasy owners everywhere will be asking themselves what RB in Carolina will be the best to grab. D Will came back down to earth last season, but still had a nice year overall. In 13 games he amassed 1117 ru yds, 252 rec yds, and 7 TD's. Stewart started slow, but ended the year with 4 100 yd games (1 200+) in the last 5 games. In 16 games he went for 1133 yds, 139 rec yds and 11 total TD's.

So what will this year hold? Can DWill hold down his #1 spot on the depth chart? Will it even matter?

Where would you take either or both of these guys. Both seem to be going at a premium with DWill's ADP at 2.4 & JStew at 4.7. So how is this going to sort out this season?

DWill will have more receptions, but less tds
JStew will have less receptions, but more tds

I think they are pretty close scoring wise. Each has his own edge in each format. JStew at 4.7 is a steal IMO.

I think the biggest difference depends on your leagues scoring system. My big $$ league is performance scoring, so the longer the TD the more points you get. DaWilly was huge 2 years ago as a large amount of his TDs were long runs. That has decreased a lot and so although he is still very serviceable, I don't get those gamebreaking bonus points anymore

Gotta agree here.

If your league is PPR or bonus for long scores...then DWill is the main target. If you have standard scoring, and Tds are the big score then Stewart is a target.

However, with a young Qb, I see Carolina running and running alot. So both will be seriouisly viable canidates for your team...in standard scoring.

As n0rm said at a 4.7 Stewart is the better value. With that said either player should help a fantasy owner.

Stew's stock is one to watch as the season nears, I really expect the ADP's to get much closer. Won't be shocked at all if these two both start going within a round of each other.
