Steve McNair dead

Very, Very sad news. McNair was a true leader on the football field. Very tragic end to what appeared to be a good man. RIP Air McNair.

Black QB or not, this guy was probably, from a work ethic standpoint, one of the greatest QBs of all time. Id rather have Steve McNair running my team for 5 years than Tom Brady for 1. McNair would (no offense intended) litterally show up dead on Sunday and still play his ass off.

McNair is always a guy who I thought was worthy of the hall not based on numbers, but on charicter.
 
Looks like this might have been a murder suicide. McNair had several gun shot wounds and the female victim had had one gun shot wound to the head with the gun close to her body.

Also just Thursday the female victim just received a DUI while with McNair. McNair was able to leave and wasn't charged since he wasn't driving. The car was registered to both McNair and the female victim.

It is possible. This would raise the question of why?

McNair doesnt strike me as the kind who would beat his old lady. Until more details are released you cant rule out robbery either. She would have been easy to overpower and "execute". McNair, not so much. Both of them appear to have had money, and that sort of status in this economy, especially in a city where violence isnt uncommon, could have been a bad thing.
 
Something does not sound right with McNair's roomie Neeley.

Comes in and finds them, checks something out in the kitchen before coming back into the room, Even then he calls a friend instead of the authorities.
 
Very sad indeed. I thought mcnair was married. That would make sense of the murder/suicide. She was pissed he wouldn't leave his wife. This is definitly an odd story. Since there is no report of forced entry, or at least from what i have heard.
 
It sounds like a possible "Crime Of Passion" with McNair receiving multiple gunshots including one to the head. IMO

None the less, a tragic end to a very talented and competitive QB. :sadbanana:

I think most peoples first reaction would be to immediately call 911. Something not right..........

Most, but not all. It is actually becoming more common for someone to call a person of trust first before they call us if they believe the person(s) are already dead. Just another awesome consequence of the "CSI Effect".

Moving on, reports indicate the weapon was not "readily apparent". This leads me to believe at this point she killed McNair and then shot herself in a standing position, falling on the weapon when she went down.

Still unusual for a woman to use a gun in a suicide. Id like to know the caliber of the weapon, but Im sure that will come out.

Also the fact she catches a DWI with him in the car. The vehicle impounded is registered to her AND McNair. The fact his family, at least publicly, appears to be denying knowledge of this young woman.

Kazemi purchased the gun on Thursday night from a private owner. The gun was purchased after Kazemi's DUI arrest. Kazemi, 20, died Saturday of a single gunshot to the head alongside former Titans quarterback McNair, who had two gunshots to the head and two to the chest. The gun was found under Kazemi's body. Police said the possibility of a murder-suicide is still on the table, but there are several other theories of the crime still possible. Kazemi's ex-boyfriend, Keith Norfleet, was questioned for several hours by police yesterday. Aaron said he is not a suspect, and there are still no suspects being actively pursued.
