KFFL is reporting that while he is still listed as questionable, Steven Jackson is not expected to play Sunday. This would mean Kenneth Darby would be set to start in his place.

Good grief.

Grant, Moreno and now Jackson.

I used to have a pretty good backfield. Now I'm down to Mendenhall vs the Ravens and Kieth Toston.

Tally HO!

ESPN reports he is still questionable as it still felt "tight". Of course, John Clayton has never worn a jock anywhere except over his head, so take that for what it is worth.

rotoworld,
Steven Jackson (groin, questionable) was not on the field Sunday for the start of Rams pre-game warmups.

"It's still early," cautions Mike Sando of ESPN, but it's notable for a player whose status is in so much doubt. Jackson wasn't able to do anything aside from take hand-offs as late in the week as Friday. He'll have made an unbelievably quick recovery if he's able to function in Sunday's game.

(RotoWire) "Jackson plans to warm up early Sunday at the Edward Jones Dome to test out his injured groin, ESPN.com's Mike Sando reports.

Analysis: Sando speculates that the Rams will play it safe with Jackson and hold him out of the game, but that's just one man's opinion and goes out the window if Jackson feels spry Sunday morning. If Jackson is scratched or limited at all Sunday however, Kenneth Darby would be in line for an expanded role, with Keith Toston and possibly Chauncey Washington in the mix as well."

hmmm...conflicting stories from the same source.

Could be, but the story was 1 minute old when I read it. Guess Sando puts more priority on his Twitter reports than he does his Roto responsibilities.

CBS says that he came out to jog when the team was doing their warm ups and that he is expected to be active for the game. Not known is if he will play yet. I have a lot riding on this story so I'll keep chasing it.

rotoworld,
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Rams RB Steven Jackson will be active, but the team is unsure how much he'll be able to play.

Jackson was seen jogging in warmups, and may be limited when he does find the field. He'll be an extremely risky fantasy play. Stay away from Kenneth Darby.

cbssports.com,
News: Rams RB Steven Jackson (groin) is active for Week 4 and will start against the Seahawks.
Analysis: Jackson hurt his groin in Week 3's win over the Redskins and missed two days of practice this week. Last season in two games against Seattle, Jackson scored one touchdown and averaged 78 yards rushing per game, while the Seahawks rank a tough fifth against the run this season. While you can expect Jackson's reps to be limited on Sunday with this injury, he should be good for 10 total Fantasy points or so. Consider him at worst a No. 2 Fantasy RB.

rotoworld,
Steve Jackson (groin) is active and will start against the Seahawks Sunday.

The Rams' backfield is a lose-lose situation against a surprisingly stout Seattle run defense. The coaching staff isn't sure how much Jackson will play, and he was only able to do light running Sunday morning. There's real danger of an early exit. Kenneth Darby can't be played, either, with a questionable workload.

Jackson was seen jogging in warmups, and may be limited when he does find the field. Both Mike Sando of ESPN.com and Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch observed that Jackson did not look good while warming up. Owners with any other reasonable options should consider sitting Jackson.
