What a crock of hock!
Actually yes and no.
So to Khan's point, he had a cyst on his head last year, that was potentially cancerous, the team blew it off, and he had to go and get outside medical help, it is the ONLY reason he is holding out. He is not holding for money.

So the key is this, by failing he won't be put on roster, which precedent in NFL says you must be on roster for 8 games for you contract to roll over. So now Redskins could be really bad here and stick him behind for FA for another year instead of next year.

This is basically a mess, and the Redskins really handled this badly

ESPN's Josina Anderson reports Cam Newton is headed to Green Bay to visit foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson.

Newton hasn't played or practiced since aggravating his foot injury in Week 2. It's unclear if he suffered a setback or if the meeting with Anderson is to gauge his progress over the past month-plus. Regardless, Newton's return does not appear imminent. Kyle Allen, who was exposed in last week's loss at San Francisco (three interceptions, 51.4 completion percentage), will draw another start Sunday against the Titans.

Josh Gordon will be released off injured reserve into the waiver system today.
More on this, report on PFT today says the team was getting tired of him showing up late for meetings and not being able to find him readily, has been not as hard working at liked.
He has been released and on waivers, and anyone can claim him off waivers, or let him get through waivers and then sign him as an FA.

Washington has asked the NFL to look into the medical care the team gave Trent Williams, trying to clear the air I guess....
Fun fact, Pittsburgh was involved in trying to get Bell back before trade deadline - all you Conner owners beware that.....
Still a chance that Flacco goes to IR

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Cam Newton's injured foot is "not getting better."

Rapoport added that playing football is "a long way off" for Newton, who has made minimal progress since going down with a foot injury in Week 2. He's slated to meet with Wisconsin-based foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson on Friday in hopes of learning why his condition hasn't improved. Undrafted sophomore Kyle Allen will continue to man the quarterback position in Newton's stead.
