Exonerated high-school star Brian Banks to work out for NFL teams

Falsely accused HS start spent five years in prison after pleading no contest to the charge of rape, and spent five more years on probation. Accuser recorded saying that her charges were lies. He was recruited in HS but IMO there there is no way he is NFL ready yet. Maybe a few years in Euro league or Arena. What do you think?

WTF on so many counts

It wasn't until last year, when the woman who accused him of the crime requested that he become her friend on Facebook, that Banks had his way to exoneration. Banks agreed to meet with his false accuser, got her recorded admission that the charges were not real, and finally saw all charges dropped and his freedom regained last week.

Why did he plead no contest if he was falsely accused?

I am not sure but from my limited understanding of the law... if he had pleaded not guilty and it had gone to a jury trial the jury had the option of giving him the max sentence, this way he "only" got 5 years.

Under advice from a lawyer who really did this kid a bad service. He was basically just a kid, and felt that he needed to follow what his lawyer told him.
