Colorado joins Pac 10

Here we go.....

Im reading Texas and A&M may head to the Big 10 still, but Im expecting us along with Texas Tech to join the Pac 10.

Im also hearing OU will petition to join the SEC.
 
With each move, the next gets more intriguing!

Not sure Texas is heading North is they insist on taking A&M and or Tech with them. B10 will take Texas in a second, the other two I have a hard time buying due to the academic issues......but if Texas is the prize and those are the terms.....who knows what a conference may agree to....

OU to the SEC and not the Pac-10 is very interesting! Could SEC look to add 2 and go to 16? If they do....could Kansas follow OU, or could they possibly raid on of the Florida schools.....or even a Clemson? Kansas brings little to football, but would give a HUGE boost to basketball....UK and KU in the same conference....WOW! All the possibilities!!!
 
Last I heard was they would take Oklahoma but only if they found another school to come along.

Id have A&M locked up for this if they hadnt already agreed with Texas and Texas Tech to stay together.

The only other school I could see coming to the SEC would possibly be Kansas, but honestly why would the SEC have use for Kansas? Besides basketball the Jayhawks bring NOTHING to the conference from any standpoint.

I think you can expect the SEC to react....especially with both the Pac 10 and Big 10 looking to go to 16.

IF that happens, they could go for both Oklahoma and Oklahoma st. That woudl be a good pairing. OR...they coud go for some Big East or ACC fall out like Miami, or Florida State or Clemson or some other southern school. I don't see the SEC going north though. So I doubt Kansas is on thier target map.
 
Ok/Ok st to the SEC would be great. Sounds like it will be OK/A&M tho, from all the reading and news stories. Even tho this is the first time i've heard OU to the SEC. Kansas would be another Vandy/Kentucky in football but the value their basketball team would bring in would be unsurpassed. Sounds like Texas is the spring board to anybody doing anything. After they make announcment then the others will follow suite shortly after.
 
OU/UT to the SEC. Not gonna happen but it would be awesome. Plus they could keep up their red river shoot out rivalry going .
 
Colorado, PAC-10? Seems odd being Colorado is so far from the other schools. Rocky moutains and the PAC-10?
 
WSU is a stones throw from the Rockies, but it looks like Colorado will be in an 8 team division with ASU, Arizona, Texas Tech, Texas, Oklahoma, Okie State, and either A&M/Utah/Kansas.
