Braylon Edwards traded to Jets

(KFFL) ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the New York Jets acquired WR Braylon Edwards from the Cleveland Browns for an undisclosed package.

Very good move as he has a much larger selection of Night Clubs now!! Dude is a train wreck plain and simple, and he is being allowed to finish himself off here.
 
Wow. Didn't see this coming. I guess he's worn out his welcome in Cleveland. Maybe beating up a friend of LeBron's wasn't a good idea?
 
No kidding Cat. This one is crazy but makes sense as we've all known of the Jets desire to pick up another big play WR to line up next to Cotch. Edwards (if he can hang onto the ball) can reinvent himself with the Jets and could be big as Sanchez develops.

Stucki is interesting because he should know most of Mangenious' offense and could step in right away and produce.
 
The kicker here is Edwards contract. If NFL goes uncapped, he will be in fifth year..so not eligible to be UFA, instead he will be RFA. So he won't be able to shop himself around.....assuming he is worth shopping.

No risk deal per say for NYJ...if he performs they can resign him...if not...they let him walk and gave up lower picks and players they arent' really needing.

Total deal was I think LB, Stuckey and two draft picks a 3rd and 5th I think
 
Smart move by the Jets. If it works, they get Randy Moss-like treasure. If its wrong they can throw him out on his arse for basically no penalty.
