Time to start a new one and catch up on news as the first two teams start Training camp this week -

T Desmond Howard ARI has had an arrest warrant in Greensboro, NC for an attack on a female - and has since been cut by Arizona
ATL is close to signing LB Deion Jones to a contract extension - before Julio Jones.....
 
BAL has signed Wr Miles Boykin to his rookie deal.

that leaves 9 players still unsigned:
1st round - Brian Burns DE CAR, Daniel Jones Qb NYG, Quinnen Williams DL NYJ, Nick Bosa DE SF, Devin White Lb TB
2nd round - Drew Lock Qb DEN, Deebo Samuel Wr SF
One third rounder left and one 7th rounder left

I am going to find it very, very ironic if Daniel Jones holds out and is late to camp, and cementing in Eli a starter.
 
I'd expect Eli to start until the bye week anyway, but rookies holding out is not a good thing, especially the future leader of the team
 
Emmanuel Sanders has been doing running, cuts, ect.

Apparently expect him back as a full participant in team practices in 2 to 3 weeks.
 
The NFL will not level any punishment against Tyreek Hill for the alleged assault of his son. However the NFL will be leaving the case open and leaving the ability for future discipline if more evidence comes to light. They said in a statement they were unable to prove that he did assault his son.
 
Former New York Giant and Super Bowl champion Mitch Petrus has died at the age of 32.
The former NFL player, who in 2012 won the Super Bowl with the New York Giants, reportedly died of a heat related illness on Thursday, July 18.

Dude had a heat stroke and died. Jesus.

S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix CHI is going to PUP due to off season knee issue
S Ricardo Allen ATL still rehabing his injury from last year - achilles
Dwayne Allen TE MIA is going on PUP
Sony Michel Rb and Demaryius Thomas Wr will both start on PUP for NE
JJ Watt DL and DeAndre Hopkins Wr will start camp on PUP for HOU
 
Just out - Julian Edelmen is out 3 weeks with a thumb issue - looks like young Wrs will get lots of work
also suddenly Zeke isn't sure he wants to hold out - gee no kidding.....
 
Daniel Jones Qb NYG has signed
ATL safety JJ Wilcox tore his ACL and will be out for the season - first practice of this year....
SEA - DL Jarran Reed has been suspended for 6 games for policy on domestic violence - there was an incident in 2017 that he was not formally charged on - but the police did request assault charges but DA decided against it.
ATL signed DL Allen Bailey to a two year deal - this after just losing DT Michael Bennett to a broken Ankle - not a good start for ATL defense.
So more on the Hill lack of discipline - folks are incensed that Reed from SEA got 6 games but not Hill in a PFT article the issue with Hill is lack of evidence, the authorities in KC refused to give all the information due to a legislative loop hole. Plus there is no one proving allegations against Hill. They seem to have had little choice here....
Buffalo puts Gore Rb on NFI list - this is a fluff thing , the "injury" is minor, but it is a loop hole to let him rest and not have to over due it in camp and lets them get an extra body in.
Giants are now saying there is no QB competition this year - Eli is the Qb.
Rb Melvin Gordon LAC may be put to the test - by all reports they are not close to a deal, and one report has LAC saying they won't redo his deal and are willing to let him hold out. - Ekeler and Jackson alert!!
So ATL is signing all these players, but have not redone deal for Julio Jones. Julio has said he is fine and will report on time. Now reports are leaking a deal is done, they just have not announced it due to NFL rule saying you have to wait one full calender year if you rework a deal.
OLT Trent Williams WAS is going to hold out
interesting little tidbit - Per reports there is NO deal in the works for Qb Tom Brady NE. I am beginning to wonder....if he wants to force the team to FT him, and get big money and just go year to year until he is done? Just my gut feeling here....

Car DL/LB Brian Burns is not signed yet, but is reporting to camp on time- must mean deal is almost done
CIN will be looking for OL depth, drafted OT Jonah Williams but he is out with Labrum tear, and OG Clint Bolling retired
CLE Rb Duke Johnson is expected to report - he agent has met with the team, and he still wants to be traded
LAC - are fully expecting Melvin Gordon to not report
ATL - Julio is in camp, and is expecting a new deal - GM is confident it will get done, but is a bit frustrated that they may be waiting on what Michael Thomas in NO gets.
HOU - DL Jadeveon Clowney is not expected to report until just before start of season
CIN- Owner Mike Brown told reporters yesterday he is against an 18 game schedule - too hard on the players is his point of view
LAC - has signed Rb Derrick Gore undrafted FA
TEN - K Ryan Succop had off-season knee surgery and is on PUP, it evidently still has issues as he is having swelling
ATL - officially placed JJ Wilcox on IR
LAR- Cooper Kupp Wr is NOT on PUP - good sign he is better
HOU - sign FA P Brian Anger - camp competition for Punter...
JAC - Wr Marquise Lee is on PUP - that won't help him win a spot....
