Terrelle Pryor> Starting QB for the Oakland Raiders

You doubt that? Pryor told NBC Sports that he thinks "he can take Palmer in camp competition." He added that he has a lot of respect for Carson but that he has the ability "to extend plays." Another quote " You don't know what you're gonna get from me as a QB from a defensive perspective. I feel like I can extend plays well and I'm so fast and I believe in my speed and I can get around and wait for guys to get open as well."

Then there's the fact that Palmer is due way, way to much money for this season and you have to wonder, could he- could he win the starting gig in Raider Land?

Me personally, I don't think so at least not for this year but heck these are the Raiders so who knows?

I think this is more likely than not. Palmer's cap number is big, and there is rumblings they want him to drop salary and he hasn't been open to it. So if Pryor can show he is capable, I think Palmer may be cut.

I didn't have the pleasure of watching the kid in college as others here must have done but he sure seems to fit the mold of the new NFL QB type that has been doing it with their feet as well as their arms.

Mixed feelings on this.....personally, screw both these guys. But on the scale of dislike, Palmer rates a little higher. I would find it himerous if Prayer takes him in camp.

Now on the talent.....Pryor is an interesting prospect. Kid has talent, but I don't think he has the toughness to be a read option success in the nfl like some of these guys. He hates to get hit.....could be an issue. He is not a passer, inaccurate overall. But that said, kid is an athlete and if he can toughen up a bit, he could find some limited success.

I also find it very funny that they want Palmer to take a pay cut...

SOMEBODY has been imbibing, or can't type, I don't know which...bwahahaha I find this himerous

Thats a bold statement from someone with a handful of NFL snaps.

Wont happen unless Palmer really sucks or goes down with an injury, Palmer didnt do that bad considering he had a crappy OL and sub-par WR's to throw to, the only reliable receiver he had was TE Brandon Myers
You are the local guy OO7, all i have read is they will dump Palmer if he doesn't restructure or take a pay cut. That would be easier for Oakland if Pryor shows he can handle it. Not sure it comes down to Palmer, more what Pryor shows. Is this what you hear?

I dont follow collage football much but the fact that Pryor was in the shotgun with Ohio State and has no experience under center should be a concern, i hope.

The only news i could find is Palmer saying he hasn't heard from the Raiders as of 3-6-13 if Palmer wants to play for Oakland he will take a pay-cut or restructure the dude is old in NFL terms and although he did OK with a weak supporting cast his best days are behind him.
