Damnit i hate to do this, but i agree with you. After having to watch such a porous proformance from Jax and all it's WR s last year , except for Matt Jones, i too am suprised he has still not been signed. The guy caught everything that came his way last year, and i have to point out the other WR avoided the ball like it was the IRS wanting to talk. Seems his off field mishaps might have gotten the best of him.

The Saints. He worked out with them the other day. I haven't heard anything regarding them turning him down. I give them a couple of preseason games tops, and he signs a deal.

i think brooks would be best in a 3-4 right now since he does seem to be slowing down . . . he would be an even better benefit for a team as a b/u to mentor someone like laurinatis . . .

the edge can still do plenty of damage and we're already seeing plenty of injuries sprouting up all over . . .

It would be devastating to see Brooks in anything other than a Bucs uniform, but it seems likely that someone is going to pick him up.

Sorry to the TB gang because I also have always liked/respected Brooks.. but if he can muster one last decent season, the Saints are getting a steal if they sign him. The locker room leadership and mentorship alone would be worth whatever they pay him.

How about SF telling Crab , fine go back into the draft and sign M. Jones. Any chance this could happen ?
