Trade opinions please.

I have D.McFadden and want to pair him with M.Bush. The M.Bush owner is interested in K.Orton after the trade to Denver.
I have the 1.01, 2.01, 2.10. 3.01, 4.01, 5.01 picks (10 team league).
Rebuilding team with no other piece of value that I can move.
The other owner is very solid at RB without M.Bush.

What is everyone's opinion.... should I offer straight up or is that an insult.
Orton + 3.01?

If I can't move Orton for M.Bush... what round pick do you think is fair to get for Orton straight up?

I would offer it straight up and see where it falls.

Is this a full dynasty league?

You should have no problem whatsoever getting Bush from him. In fact, I'd say that you would be losing in the deal sending Orton for Bush.

Orton's value is as high as it might ever get right now. His name is in a big trade and he's going to be throwing to some studs.

In all likelyhood though, Orton will have to battle Chris Simms in training camp to get the job. Although I see Orton winning this battle, I think his value is higher right now than it may ever get.

I'd say Orton for Bush and 1 of his picks, but that's just me.

Personally I think that Orton has more value that Bush at this point. It's obviously a keeper league. Can you give us more info on your team's rules and the other players you currently have? Perhaps another QB?

It is a full dynasty league.

My other QB's are Schaub, J.Russel, T.Thigpen, K.Orton

PPR typical scoring with IDP's

The other owner holds M.Bush's value crazy high and would not entertain Orton straight up. Which is why I wanted to get some neutral opinions on Orton's vlaue. He wants to push Trent Edwards on me, but I need draft picks or RB's way more then T.Edwards or K.Orton.

My RB's are McFadden, J.Stewart, J.Lewis, R.Torain.

I took over the team last year in week 2. The team was so bad that 8 original members remain from a roster of 28 not a year later. This should give you an idea that my team is mostly made of upside guys who aren't your typical starters.

If I was to trade Orton for a draft pick, because the other guy loves M.Bush too much. What round draft pick is fair to ask for?

I would not trade Orton for anything less than a fairly high 2nd round pick.

In a dynasty league (with good owners) quarterbacks come at a premium prices, especially when they are going to be starters.

From all we can see now, Orton is the Broncos starter in 2009. If they trade up for a top rookie QB, this could change, but for now, Orton is the guy. According to the Bears owner, getting Orton was the key to making this trade happen, so you have to assume that he automatically leaps ahead of Simms, and his value has to be decent in fantasy because he is going to a team with a much more productive pass offense.

To be honest, having Schaub and Russell as my top QB's, I might be inclined to hang on to Orton as he may be your best start this year. Schaub puts up numbers when healthy, but he isn't showing he can stay that way. Russell is, well...... not real good so far. and Thigpen is history.

I would normally agree with this....except for the size of the league. With only 10 teams the demand for QB's is lower and supply greater due to this. The elite QB's are still very nice to have, but QB's like Orton, Schaub, and Russell become much less valuable IMO.

I also agree that Orton is a sell high guy, his value is high now. Pump him up, continue to push his value on the new team. Bush will never be a ppr monster so getting him may not be a must due. If he won't take it straight up walk away.

If you still want to deal Orton, I'd be looking for a late first/early 2nd. Not sure it makes a bunch of sense to move him for the early 2nd though....

Unless you are able to a top 20 rb, a borderline starter for Orton, I would not make a trade. You might have to put a 2 player trade together in exchange for a Rb and another player. M. Bush has been in intriguing player since he entered. But, the fact of the matter is, he's still going to be behind Mcfadden in a substandard offense that defenses will load up to stop the run unless Russell ever develops(big if). As others have stated, Bush for Orton would be a loss for you in terms of value. You do have a need at Rb, but this guy doesn't seem willing to give you fair market value. And if you trade Orton, you then have question marks at QB.

Besides, a strong backup QB is not something to be discarded easily.

agree with most of what's been said . . . i think wanting bush so much you are willing to give up what you do have isn't the wisest approach to take . . . you aren't set at qb either and orton's value is much higher than bush's . . . i'd pursue other trades . . . ;)

Dang.

You really need a QB. but Orton is not a fantasy QB. he's an ugly Jimmy Mac.

get Bush. offer Orton for Bush and Edwards

Trust me, Kyle Orton is not ever going to be an above average fantasy QB.

And it is very likely the Raiders will not pay Bush what he can get on the open market when his time comes. and he's better than Michael Turner.

had to edit: Maybe Orton is more valuable, based on other solid ff minds here. Maybe people think he'll be getting Cutler numbers in Denver. You don't seem to think so, but, apparently some do.

in fact, it appears people are saying that you should hold on to Orton, just in case. maybe you could let go of someone else, instead? but get Bush. jmho
