Iowa will make it in with their 10-2 record. Those selecting the Bowl partcipants know how well Hawkeye fan travels. Not many travel any better. They deserve the game for their record and play, but also earn the selection because they will pack it!

Oklahoma State will travel just as well to a BCS game, especially given the very short trip to Arizona for the Fiesta Bowl.

I know its all about travel, but Boise vs Oklahoma State would certainly be more exciting.

Then again, Iowa is already done since the Big Ten finishes in October :)

Oklahoma State still needs to man up and beat Oklahoma or this isnt an issue.

Also, a wild card here is Penn St I think is still a larger "national" name.....and they have 10 wins, just like Iowa.....could be the selection over Iowa which would make Iowa nation go NUTS!

Hadnt really considered Penn State since they are the #3 team in the Big Ten. I had them penciled in for an upper non BCS gig.

I think Clemson will take the ACC spot in the Orange Bowl, honestly. They barely lost to Georgia Tech in week 2, and CJ Spiller is much better now than he was then. Plus a neutral field will help.

You people feel free to throw your own projections up. This isnt set in stone

I would tend to agree with Sarge on all of them except the Orange Bowl, as I said before. I think it will be Clemson representing the ACC. Past that, I don't know where Cinncy/TCU/Boise will end up. I would love to see close match-ups rather than another Georgia/Hawaii debacle.

How I would like to see it:
BCS National Championship: Texas vs Alabama
Rose Bowl: Ohio State vs Oregon
Fiesta Bowl: Cincinnati vs Oklahoma State
Sugar Bowl: Florida vs TCU
Orange Bowl: Clemson vs Boise State

Let's take a stab at this:
BCS NC: Texas vs Florida
Rose: Ohio State vs Oregon
Fiesta: Penn St vs TCU
Sugar: Alabama vs Cincinnati
Orange: Georgia Tech vs Boise St

What happens if we get an SEC title tilt like this:

Florida 21, Alabama 19 OR Alambama 24, Florida 23 AND Texas takes the upset.....Could we end up seeing 1 vs 2 all over again....

Only 2 teams from the same conference can advance to a BCS game so you're spot on Sarge.
My predictions were not that they would get 3, it was that they would get the spot over Iowa which is completely possible. Both ended with the same record and both would be an at large bid meaning it does not matter that Iowa beat PSU, if a BCS Bowl wants PSU over Iowa, they would get them.

Bama and Fla are locks as well, so is TCU as there is no way for Boise to jump them and they get an auto at their rank.

Yeah but Im not sure where they will go bowling yet, so I dont have them "locked"

We know where Cincinnati, Ohio State, and Oregon are headed.

Whatcha think of your opponent Miller?
