TE Fred Davis (Achilles) has signed a one-year contract with the Redskins, NFL.com reports. Davis choose the Redskins over the Bills, who sent team personnel to meet with him. Davis is coming off a torn Achilles' tendon, so he is a definitely an injury risk. However, when healthy, he has shown the ability to produce at a high level, as he recorded 59 catches, 796 receiving yards, and three touchdowns in 2011.
Interesting, an Achillies injury does take extra time to recover from but it has been quite awhile. I assume we will all monitor his progress closely.
