Raiders Sign Punter Shane Lecher

Raiders agreed to terms with P Shane Lechler on a four-year, $12 million contract. We have seen a couple of punters emerge this last year as difference makers on the field. Lecher may be the best of the bunch and saves the Raiders from having to use their franchise tag right now on him.

Heck of a leg last year. Not a shocker here. When they were in town playing the Bucs at the end of the season, he was booting like 70 yard punts all freaking day.

Lechler is one of the best at his position. he changes field position, if the Raiders could get a team around him if would highlight his impact more. Good deal here, good amount of money for a punter, but it's an important piece of the game.
