Plans to expand Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge annouced

Plans to add 7,000 additional seats to Tiger Stadium were annouced yesterday. An upper structure will be added in the end zone connecting the east and west upper decks. The TAF currently plans to pay for the construction and use proceeds from the suite and ticket sales to "retire the debt." The two levels of luxury will include 60 different suites, each with room for 24 guests to enjoy LSU football.

Good for LSU. They've done well the past ten years and deserve some improved digs.

:like: We'll have no trouble filling those seats as long as we stay in the hunt for the SEC but I keep remembering all of the bad years and thinking about how 70,000 empty seats would look on TV if and when we some day stumble.
