  • Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said James Conner (ankle) is "still being evaluated."
Tomlin added that Conner will be limited this week and his practices will dictate his availability against the Ravens. Even if he's active, it's concerning that this is already the second time this year Conner's battled a questionable status heading into Sunday. Jury's out on whether the Steelers revert to their wildcat game plan again, but Jaylen Samuels needs to be prioritized on Tuesday's waivers (wherever available) as an every-touch option in the event Conner's deemed inactive. Samuels would be a Top 10 play if named the starter.

Just FYI - Roquan Smith Lb CHI was a healthy scratch last weekend, per team he is out handling personal issues. No report on what those issues are.
Per ESPN, issue is Smith has not acted normally and is not himself, no idea of what that means, team is sticking to "personal issue" statement.

very hush hush on Roquan which is disturbing. There have been false reports of a drunken car accident so disregard that.

  • Tyrell Williams (foot) did not practice Wednesday.
It's a new injury for Williams after he battled a hip pointer the last couple weeks. The Gazelle has been playing through his injuries, however, and has a touchdown catch in all four games. That streak will end sooner than later. If he suits up, Williams will be a WR4 against the Bears in London.

You can chalk this one up under the category of "sore feet do not fly so well."

  • Michael Gallup (knee) returned to practice Wednesday, getting in a limited session.
Gallup has missed the last two games with a sprained MCL but is progressing in his recovery and could be back in the lineup Week 5 against the Packers. We'll have to check in on Gallup later in the week closer to Sunday.

  • Devin Singletary (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
This puts Singletary on track to return this week against the Titans after he practiced Thursday and Friday last week before missing Week 4. Singletary has missed the last two games. He'd push T.J. Yeldon back to the bench.

  • Saquon Barkley (ankle) was in full uniform and jogging off to the side of Wednesday's practice.
Barkley suffered a serious high-ankle sprain Week 3 but has been aiming to beat his 6-8 week timetable. He's not going to play this Sunday against the Vikings, but Barkley is making rapid improvements in his rehab.

  • Sam Darnold (mono) will practice today. He has not been cleared for contact though.

NO practice for DeSean. :(

  • Minshew was limited at practice today.

Speaking of the Saint's defense did you know that the Saints, have not allowed a 100-yard rusher in their past 26 games. They have allowed two running backs to score this season with Todd Gurley in Week 2 and Ezekiel Elliott in Week 4.

Sit you Tampa RB's.

  • Dallas Morning News' Michael Gehlken reports Michael Gallup (knee) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Packers.
You love to see it. Gallup's initial timetable following a meniscus trim put him back on the field in 2-4 weeks time and Sunday makes nearly three weeks since the second-year pro last suited up. Even if limited, his presence should make an impact for a Cowboys offense that most recently stalled (for a variety of reasons) in Sunday night's loss to the Saints. Gallup notably led Dallas in targets (15) before going under the knife. He needs to be rostered in every format.
