   Basically, you are colluding with other parties to bet large sums of $$$$ and purposely tanking your play to help make that happen. It usually is more than one player doing it, since in a game like Football its hard other than QB to effect a game.

Depends on how you got the information. If you got that from the player or someone who has knowledge of the situation you could be considered guilty also.
