Martz did utilize Faulk some.easy to say that Forte value won't rise with this hire.
Martz did utilize Faulk some.
My point exactly....Forte is no Faulk....Faulk is a HOFer....Martz has not had much of a track record outside of that with RB's and when you pass as much as he does, I'm not getting real excited for a RB's value in that offense.Wasn't he supposedly going to increase Gore's value when he was in SF? I didn't see that happen when he was there.
But he is a valuable reciever none the less and a weapon in that capacity that the bears chose to overlook. Didn't he have 70+ receptions as a rookie???My point exactly....Forte is no Faulk....Faulk is a HOFer....Martz has not had much of a track record outside of that with RB's and when you pass as much as he does, I'm not getting real excited for a RB's value in that offense.
The next move will be finding the D-coordinator and that will likely default to the promotion of Rod Marinelli ... anothe Lovie buddy. Building leadership around Detroit Lion castoffs has never been a recipe for success. I'm curious what role they have in mind for Matt Millen.
You can't play in a cold climate and be a pass oriented team.
Thanks for making my point.Aaron Rodgers, Brady, and your boy McNabb called and said "huh?"
Martz has the raw materials here to really make this work. Cutler is uber-talented so long as his mind's right; Forte took a step or 2 backwards but showed his versatile skillset in '08; loads of potential in the WR corps with speed merchants (Knox/Hester) and possession guys (Bennett/Aroma-doodoo), plus an explosive threat at TE. As has been mentioned already, that O-line needs severe attention or else all this potential will go to waste, but I really like this group of skill position folks.
Sorry Phic, that is a poor way of trying to back up your point....your seriously going to try to say that those three offensive philosophy's have not been successful despite the cold climate? Thanks for making my point.
Other than Brady, how many superbowls have the other two won?

Okay, explain exactly what you mean here please.i'm not a martz fan by any means, but i also don't think he's an idiot either . . . i believe he will use the weapons he does have and build from there . . . but i'm in agreement that if he doesn't retool the offensive line, this offense will continue to struggle.
