Kyle Orton, panic time yet?

Considering that the goofball head coach had no intentions of starting this season with Orton as his starting quarterback, I would say any struggles are good reason to panic if you are depending on something good coming from Orton.

Tons of pressure to succeed on a new team, and a head coach that has tons of pressure on himself due to a bad start to a head coaching career. The pressure only gets higher on Orton after this outing.

I think its safe to say he cant run the Patriot offense. Mike knows all too well the pain that big arm and little brain Simms brings to your team.

Nope......they wont fire McDaniels.

I do expect to see McCoy, Bradford, Snead, or Tebow a Bronco though.

Orton spiraled after the pick in the endzone. Local folks are saying two things:

1) Orton played like a bag of ass
2) First pre-season game. Nowhere near time to pull the plug.

That seems unlikely. 2011 is more of a possibility because that's when his restructured 2-year deal will be up.

Sorry, I thought I had heard something mentioned about this being a soft contract year for Donny due to either a player or club option, during the Vick aftermath.

I finally got to watch a replay of Denver's game and I just can't find a good thing to say about Orton.

He looked scared out there and there is no cure for fear, but a really good outing would go a long way. Maybe they could let him play against the fourth stringers this week and bulk up his confidence.

I am being somewhat serious here folks...so bear with me.

what if Orton IS the plan in Denver?

Lets face facts, the defense will be a sieve again. The O-line is solid, but Wrs could be issue with Marshall wanting out and he being a head case. Rb seems to be addressed...but TE they were shopping. So have a bad year, get one of the really good young kids coming out next year...and rebuild again?

McCoy would be a great choice for Denver next year.

From what I heard on the radio today (did not see the game) Orton and the passing game moved the ball well.......until the dumb ass throws that led to the 3 picks.

Cassel looked like garbage early in that offense as well......they worked with him and look at the deal he gets in KC! Orton could bomb, and his performance has me worried a bit, but overall if they can continue to work on his decision making he may not do too bad, remember, this is a new system for him.

This would be completely viable had they not dealt their own 2010 1st round pick away to move up for Alphonso Smith (CB) in a trade with Seattle.
Alot of people are overlooking that fact.
They still have Chicago's 1st rounder from the Cutler deal, but let's be honest, they'll never have McCoy available at that spot... but the Seahawks will.

He looked well as long as the receiver was ten yards from the nearest DB. No problem. But while the radio guys think Orton will improve over the preseason, so will DBs, and I fear the ball leaves Orton too slowly to fit in the tight windows he'll face in the regular season.

Oh, and the endzone obviously.

Seattles best draft move during Ruskells reign by far
