Florida State junior defensive end Everette Brown told ESPN on Wednesday that he will enter the NFL draft.

Brown, 6-foot-4 and 252 pounds, had 13.5 sacks this season and 21.5 tackles for losses, ranking among the nation's leaders.

Brown will be one of the top speed rushers in the NFL draft. Scouts Inc. draft expert Todd McShay has Brown rated as the ninth player in his Top 32.

At least he graduated already.

Kevin Ogletree, Virginia
Height: 6-2. Weight: 190.
Projected 40 Time: 4.47.
Projected Round (2009): 6.

1/8/09: Not really sure why Kevin Ogletree is declaring early when he's a late-round prospect at best, but hey, all the luck to him.

OK...Maybe you can tell me Hoos why the hell this guy is coming out early? A 6th rounder?

This is what I posted on another board about him:

He thinks he will be a first day pick. If he runs a 4.3 something he might be, but he wont, imo. Needs to work on route running and hands(though not bad), but has great game speed and explosiveness. He's a gamer, so Im thinking late 3rd-4th round is a possibility.

A few reasons he is leaving is because he doesnt like Groh, has already graduated, bad QB play, 2007 knee injury, and they are installing a new spread offense at UVA.

First, thanks to Hoos for coming at us with the "inside" knowledge.

Moving on, I guess it makes some kind of sense since the guy has already graduated. I read he made 58 receptions this season, but I guess buried in a 5-7 quagmire one won't get noticed.

Jeremy Maclin Wr Missouri going pro

COLUMBIA, Mo. -- Outrunning defenses came easy for Missouri wide receiver and return specialist Jeremy Maclin. Saying goodbye was the hard part.
The two-time All-American announced his widely expected decision to turn pro Friday -- but not before breaking down in tears at the microphone before a crowd of reporters, grateful teammates and coaches.
"This decision hasn't been easy," Maclin said, adding that he didn't completely make up his mind until 10 minutes before the news conference. "As much as I love you guys ... I feel like I'm ready for the next level."

IT'S GARBAGE DAY
Fresh on the heels of the Sam Bradford announcement, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen is reporting Southern Cal quarterback Mark Sanchez will leave the school and head to the NFL.

Think he has enough seasoning?

Ohio State Cornerback Donald Washington joins teammates Chris Wells and Brian Hartline as he declares for the NFL Draft.

Washington was suspended for the first 2 games of the season for an undisclosed violation and lost his starting job to Sophmore Chimdi Chewka this season.

Good riddance, Washington has the talent, just not the discipline.

In the article it stated that Hartline thinks he'll be a 2nd to 4th round pick!! Really??? Brian, your a smart guy, put the pipe down though! Your route are good, but hands are questionable and your speed can't get separation against Big 10 corners....now you want to try NFL corners??? I see him as a 5-7th rd selection.
