Eagles OT Jon Runyan Has Surgery

While the Eagles and Runyan were hoping that just a cleanout procedure was in order. When Dr James Andrews went in he determined that Microfracture surgery was required. This will have a 4-6 month recovery time. This time table could have Runyan being ready anywhere from the start of camp to the start of the season. Runyan has a streak of 192 games played in a row, 3rd longest among active players. I would suspect he will be ready to answer the bell.

True, if he is a Free Agent he could miss out on a huge paycheck. Conversely, He may elect to settle for a mere big raise to stay with the Eagles now. :grin:

I think he stays with the Eagles. He's a tough guy that will bounce back nicely I believe. I'm not sur what his plans were if he's a FA, but especially now that he needs surgry, I think Philly seems like a stick for the moment.
