Right, put another way, how do you think my draft went? This was sorta impromptu, as I don't usually participate in standard leagues and am not used to having zero preparation.

"The best WR in the league", without a legitimate QB does not equal the best WR, IMO of course. Fitz, after losing Warner and Boldin can not possibly put up the numbers we're used to seeing from him.

But the question is...Do you think he will out perform Marshall?

Exactly, I believe Calvin Johnson is the most gifted WR in the game today. But he doesnt have a great QB. Put him on the Patiots, Saints or Colts and you have the best WR.

No the post that I addressed was is Fitz the best WR in the league and in the past he's been the best or next to it. Not this year though.

But to answer your question I doubt it.

The big problem I see is your RB depth, or lack there of. I would have jumped on J Stew instead of Gates in the 4th. In the 6th you had a chance to get Jahvid Best instead you went Flacco. May have been a little early for both Flacco and Manning. Again in round 12 I would have been all over Ahmad Bradshaw instead of a second defense.

I see some serious flaws in this draft. You seem to reach for every play after the third Round. You should of drafted J. Stewart in the 4th, J. best/Caddy in the 5th. Witten in the 6th. Why draft 3 QBs in 4 picks. And why 2 Defs so early. You started off good but the middle rounds you seem to reach. I like the Slaton pick at the end. I have to give you a C.

Lack of RB depth? Sorry, don't see it. I drafted my beast in Gore, landed an older but still productive back in Thomas as the primary backup, took Gerhart who's going to be a TD vulture, and I should be charged for Grand Larceny for drafting Slaton when I did. If nothing else, my backfield can be described as solid.

Yeah, I did make a mistake in drafting the QBs I did, but only because they all have the same bye week (which I didn't realize at the time). I've worked out a trade with my supervisor wherein I'll send him Matt Ryan and he'll give me Vince Young. I'm not entirely thrilled with Collie and Henderson, but I'm trying to work a trade for Michael Crabtree.

All-in-all, I largely met the objectives I set for myself. The draft could've been better with more prep time, but this was done with literally ten minutes notice.

Boldin not being there is going to mean more targets for Fitz. He'll put up around the same numbers, I think, but the AZ pass offense isn't going to be as prolific.

How many RBs do you start? Is there a R/W Flex? You really dont see lack of RB depth? Gerhart a TD vulture? You do not think they will give the ball to this one guy name Adrian Peterson near the goaline. T. Jones and Gerhart will see less then 10 carries a game. Is this a TD only league? Matt Ryan has way more value then V. Young at this point. You should try for someone better. Maybe Palmer. T. Jones will get a lot of goal line work but the question is how often is KC going to be near the goaline.

Frank Gore - Stud, no problem there
Thomas Jones - Problem: There is Jamaal Charles, Thomas jones and Dexter McCluster in the backfield. McCluster should be used as Reggie Bush. He will probably be split out wide some times and be in the backfield some other times. There are too many mouths to feed.
Toby Gerhart - Problem: How will he be a touchdown vulture with AP starting? I don't see how Childress would use Gerhart in the redzone more than AP.
Steve Slaton - Houston's backfield is a huge question mark. They got Ben tate in the draft, who I really like, and Slaton had neck surgery. But this was a steal in the 10th round. If he does end up starting, great grab. If not, it was only a 10th. So no problem their.

I really don't see how a backfield can be called solid with so many question marks. But this is my opinion and you probably have different thoughts for each player.

I see Jones as the pounder in that backfield. He's going to play in the heavier sets where the smaller Charles and McCluster aren't suited. Weiss might also go with some Pony sets where Charles/McCluster and Jones are in the backfield at the same time.

Toby Gerhart
- Problem: How will he be a touchdown vulture with AP starting? I don't see how Childress would use Gerhart in the redzone more than AP.

Childress subbed AP out a lot in goalline situations last year, I don't think he's going to stop doing that unless AP becomes a more reliable ball handler.

16th, actually. If he can produce at 3/4 of his rookie year, I'll be happy with the pick.

Two RB, two WR, and a RB/WR flex. I plan on starting three WR more often than not, which means Gore has to be himself and one of the three additional backs has to be a solid producer.

As for the Ryan/Young trade, Ryan might have more value but I'm in a bit of a jam with the bye week debacle.

Gerhart is a rookie and AP has to prove he is still too unreliable at the goal line before Gerhart a rookie gets his chance.

You still have lot of time before the season starts and after the season starts to trade M. Ryan. I would wait 2 or 3 weeks before I trade him.

I believe Mike Wallace will turn into a stud this year. You should aim for him in trades. Also Maroney will be a decent RB this year.

I would try to get some better value for Ryan. You have until week 8 really to get another QB. Maybe wait a couple games during the season and see if any one of your 3 QBs could be a sell high candidate to a team with weaker QBs.
