According to The San Diego Union-Tribune's Michael Gehlken San Diego Chargers WR Robert Meachem (knee) had arthroscopic knee surgery shortly after the end of the season and his recovery has been smooth so far.
"I'm going to do everything: OTAs, minicamp," Meachem said. "I'm feeling good. I'm in a new atmosphere. I'm getting all the help I need to make sure I'm good for the next year. Pretty much everything is good right now."
The Chargers lost veteran WR Vincent Jackson to FA (Tampa) this offseason, and hope that Meachem can fill the void left at receiver. SD believes that Meachem can be a #1 WR, but with Colston getting the coverage from #1 CBs in NO, it will be interesting to see how Meachem can handle coverage of a #1 CB.
