Bowers underwent successful surgery Friday to repair his torn Achilles tendon, the Buccaneers official Twitter page reports. As Tampa Bay's second-round draft choice in 2011, Bowers made just 25 tackles (22 solo) and 1.5 sacks during his rookie campaign. The 22-year-old will be out indefinitely after starting 10 games and appearing in all 16 in 2011.
