(RotoWire) Gonzalez (knee) is on track to be ready when training camp opens in August, team owner Jim Irsay told the Indianapolis Star. Analysis: After spraining a PCL ligament in his right knee in Week 1, Gonzalez had a setback and underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Nov. 6. and wasn't able to play again. It sounds like he's making progress, but we'll want to see him participate in a full workout before we're convinced he's back to full speed. He looked like the No. 2 target in the passing game before last season, but now his role for 2010 is uncertain with the emergence of Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie.

Not so fast, if Gonzo comes back heathly expect Collie to be the odd man out as Gonzo moves into his natural position in the slot with Garcon and Wayne as your 1 and 2.

Partly disagree.

I've never been impressed with Gonzalez. I don't think the Colts are in a hurry to rush him back into the line-up.

I don't think the Colts are impressed with Collie....I'm not sure that Garcon is a golden boy either.

All three are the benefactors of a tremendous quarterback in a tremendous passing offense. Wayne is the only pure talent in that receiving corps.

I agree here, but there have also been reports that there will be 4 wr sets now as well. So you will see some empty backfield and teams will have to cover Wayne, Collie, Garcon, Gonzales and Clark. Not a thing to look forward to if you are a DC.

That I can see, Collie will not go unused completely, but I do think he will be option number 4. I'm not buying that the Colts are not sold on Gonzo either. A year ago he was poised to be their num 2 and they did not do anything to bring in a vet or high pick. They added depth with Garcon and Collie and it worked. Now they have great depth and Gonzo is now back....I think the Colts have to be very happy with this group.
