Even if you dont own him you have to be following this, post all injury updates here!!

Coach Gary Kubiak acknowledged that Johnson (hamstring) will miss some time, though at this point how much that might be is uncertain, John McClain of The Houston Chronicle reports.

Texans WR Johnson will 'miss some time' (AP)
The Houston Texans have handled adversity well. They may be challenged now to win without star receiver Andre Johnson. Coach Gary Kubiak said Monday that Johnson is nursing an injured right hamstring and his availability for Sunday's game against Oakland is uncertain as the team seeks other medical opinions.

I dont have A.Johnson in any leagues but i do have M.Schaub and as we all know, **** rolls down hill.

The way AJ went down it looked a lot more serious

Johnson (hamstring) underwent a procedure Tuesday and is expected to miss up to three weeks, Houston Chronicle writer John McClain reports.
Spin:
McClain says Johnson will miss games against Oakland and Baltimore, but leaves open the possibility that he'll return against Tennessee on Oct. 23. The news could have been worse for Johnson's owners, inconvenient as the injury still is.

The procedure performed on Johnson's hamstring Tuesday is designed to prevent scar tissue from forming around a minor tear, the Houston Chronicle reports.
Spin:
The procedure is supposed to expedite the healing process, with Johnson expected to miss three weeks. Jacoby Jones will start in Johnson's place.

I dont own him either but I have Foster in all my leagues. Im just hoping his owners get scared and undervalue him so I can snag him.

I own Foster and Johnson in one of my money/keeper leagues, losing Foster hurt, but I picked Ben Tate late int he draft and muddled by; beyond Johnson I do not really have the strength I want in order to compete for 5 weeks, or more.....this hurts....

Coach Gary Kubiak has confirmed that Johnson had a procedure done on his hamstring Tuesday, noting that it went well, Nick Scurfield of the Texans' official site reports.
Spin:
Kubiak, who said that Johnson's injury is a tendon issue, does not have a timeline for his star wideout's return, so it's safe to say that Johnson is currently in the week-to-week category.

Jacoby Jones will start in Johnson's place.

jones and walters are really co-starters on the opposite side of aj . . . of the 2, i expect walter to step up although i don't expect either to give you consistent numbers . . . i really expect the running game (& screens) to flourish, especially if foster and tate can both be healthy at the same time . . . why not go 2 te sets with daniels and casey w/ both backs in the backfield . . . this would also give the defense a solid breather . . . ;)

Steph Stradley of the Houston Chronicle reports that Andre Johnson did have surgery to repair the distal tendon of his hamstring.
He didn't undergo platelet-rich plasma therapy.

Nice assessment, I have seem reports that suggest both Jones and Walters as getting the biggest boost. But as you suggest neither will probably reap a huge benefit. But with Bye weeks here both may be a little more playable depending on how big a pinch an owner is in.

Happy Belated Birthday..... Hope you had a great one yesterday!!!

I read that one yesterday and didn't buy into enough to bring it to the forum

I like Casey's chances of few extRA KEY LOOKS ON THIRD DOWNS AND IN THE REDZONE. oops! Walter will receive the ppr bonus with likely 5 to 6 grabs a game.

I went out on a limb and skipped Jones and Walter to pick up Bryant Johnson.

He's a big target with lots of NFL savvy.

Certainly not a replacement for AJ but he brings some of the AJ style.

According to Kubiak, the Texans will have a better idea on Johnson's recovery timetable after a week of rehab. At this point, he's expected to miss at least the next two weeks and probably a third. Source: Nick Scurfield on Twitter
