The Chiefs announced fans would no longer be permitted to wear Native American headdresses or face paint inside Arrowhead Stadium.
The decision comes after extensive talks between the team and Native American communities. The organization said "fans will be asked to remove any American Indian-themed face paint prior to passing security screening outside the stadium." The team is also "engaged in a thorough review process of the Arrowhead Chop." It's the latest in the NFL's reckoning with racial and social justice.

Ravens released FS Earl Thomas.
The release comes with a conduct detrimental to the team clause. The Ravens will take a $15 million cap hit to move on from Thomas. That could jump to $25 million if Thomas wins a grievance. Thomas remained one of the better safeties in the league last year, but his off-field baggage could limit his free-agent suitors. DeShon Elliott is expected to replace Thomas opposite Chuck Clark. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Cowboys are the frontrunners to sign Thomas. Houston and the 49ers have also been linked as possible landing spots.

Ravens' Lamar Jackson: Soft tissue injury
Coach John Harbaugh relayed Sunday that Jacksonis dealing with a "soft-tissue" injury, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com, the QB has missed the Ravens' last two practices. Harbaugh declined to offer specifics on Jackson's issue, so consider the ascending signal-caller day-to-day until added context regarding his injury is available

Across an eight-day period from August 12 to 20, zero players tested positive for COVID-19 on 23,260 administered tests.
Incredible. The NFL has done a phenomenal job with its safety measures to this point, and credit goes to the players and staffs as well. The real challenge will be when teams start to travel. But as of now, things are extremely positive (no pun intended) for the league. Week 1 is just 17 days away.
