Tank for Tua just took a turn...

During Alabama’s 38-7 victory over Mississippi State on Saturday, QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered what is now being called a “serious hip injury.”

Not only was Tua carted off the field, he was also airlifted to a hospital due to the severity of the injury.

Early indications are it's the same type of injury that ended Bo Jackson's career.

Being called a hip fracture. Surgery today or tomorrow.

Nick Saban said in his postgame comments that that would have been the last drive that Tua was in the game

According to Aaron Suttles of The Athletic, Alabama junior QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered a dislocated hip with a posterior wall fracture during Saturday's 38-7 win over Mississippi State and will not return this season.

This is absolutely brutal. Tagovailoa (6'1/218) suffered the injury late in the second quarter, and after undergoing X-rays at the stadium he was transported to a hospital in Birmingham via helicopter. While this is huge news for Alabama as it looks to win another national title, with Mac Jones now the starter, it's also big with regards to the 2020 NFL Draft. Tagovailoa has been viewed by many analysts as the top draft-eligible prospect in the class, with a shot at being selected with the first overall pick. But with Saturday's developments, it is unknown when (or if) he'll be able to get back on the football field.

Joe Burrow is the best QB in the upcoming draft.

As for Tua really hope he is ok. Would hate to see a career ending or shortening injury. Whether he is 1st or 3rd as far as qbs he would be drafted high. Multiple teams that will be drafting high Miami, Cincinnati, Chicago, Tampa Bay all could use qbs. And yes I said Tampa Bay. Jameis may be good for fantasy but he is a turnover machine. Listening to thr radio today so can't take credit for this one but a good quote from today was a comment on a Jameis throw that was incomplete. "at least he didn't throw it to the other team, the Jameis Winston story."
