OH this just gets better, supposedly he was facing charges of prostitution, but pled no contest to the misdemeanor of disorderly conduct and possessing tools for criminal behavior(his cell phone he used to set up the sex appt.) and NFL is now investigating under the code of conduct policy.

So as you may have seen by now, DL Ed Oliver of the Buffalo Bills lost a very young son over the summer (the boy was 2). Somehow a source got the story and posted it, before the team and Ed Oliver wanted it to be given(Ed has been at camp, but not really participating). Police have now reported the investigation is complete and no criminal activity took place. The poor boy was found dead in their pool. Condolences to the Oliver family.

Giants WR Calvin Austin went down with an alleged serious knee injury.

Austin’s knee buckled during a 1-on-1 drill with cornerback Deonte Banks, and he crumpled to the ground. The wide receivers and defensive backs participating in the drills couldn’t even look as trainers attended to Austin

NFL going to push health and safety concerns (report from PFT):
The statement says that “greater emphasis” will be placed on five fouls in the category. They are hip drop tackles, horse collar tackles, launching, hits on defenseless players and blindside blocks.

Per the statement, players who are commit three violations of those rules over the course of the season will be suspended for one game. They also announced that clubs with excessive numbers of health and safety violations will be subject to fines and that coaches will be required to join players in meetings with the NFL if those players are nearing the suspension threshold.

He doesn't play for the Chiefs so I fully expect a suspension is coming

Under the NFL’s CBA the MINIMUM suspension for any domestic abuse is 6 games. If any of these charges are proven to be true Jacobs is looking at a lengthy suspension”

Surveillance video from #Packers RB Josh Jacobs’ garage confirmed the relevant portions of the woman’s account of the altercation.

She told police Jacobs grabbed her as she tried to leave, threw her to the ground, and she struck her head. The video specifically shows her on the garage floor, Jacobs taking her phone, and then returning about 40 seconds later and appearing to damage it.

If convicted, Jacobs faces up to 18 months in prison.
