LAR - news has come out that Matt Stafford is once again having issues with his throwing elbow. He played through it last year, but already they are reducing his practicing and he sat out yesterday. Just need to keep an eye on this.
JAC - no Trevor Lawrence or Etienne in Thursday night's game

Interesting question. They just might keep him on the roster if it was the Rams who needed a QB. They aren't worried about Seattle at this point.

Rams would have to pony up a decent pick, if they have any left that is
Weren't they expected to just cut him at some point, and would this make them think twice before doing so?

Miami is stripped of its 2023 1st round pick and 2024 3rd round pick, and owner Stephen Ross also suspended through October 17th and fined $1.5 million for violating integrity of the game Per Schefter at ESPN

They definiitely were going to cut him if they couldn't get anything in a trade. However, the Rams are their mortal enemy, so that might inpact their strategy if there is something seriously wrong with Stafford. Will be fun to watch

Typical NFL. This shit happens all the time with both owners and players recruitng (probably with the OK of the owners) free agents. They make an example on one fairly low profile team instead of any of the powerful owners like Jones or Kraft

NFL between a rock and a hard place. If they appeal and suspend Watson for a year, the shouts of "racism" will start flying. If they stick with the 6 games, gonna take crap from the other side of the lib base.

This was about the losing scandal that Brian Flores brought out, they are basically putting it all on Owner. Stating the team and Flores kept trying to win. Has to be part of some settlement or agreement coming with Flores lawsuit I bet

Oh. What I read on rotoworld was that it pertained to recruiting Brady and Shawn Payton. They didn’t mention intentionally losing. That makes more sense.

Per NFL.com report from NFL, it was both, illegal contact with Brady while with Patriots and Tampa Bay and illegal talks with Payton while with Saints, plus the pressure applied by owner to tank in 2019.

Reports out Roger Goodell will read the riot act with teams at the NFL meetings coming up - Between the Watson thing, Flores and Miami thing and some other player issues I wonder if NFL will start cracking down more to make fans believe they are clean
