Coming at you
The Chiefs are expecting WR Rashee Rice to be suspended for at least HALF of the 2024 season
That was kind of my first thought when this happened, but figured Roger would take the easy out and give him 2-3. To me he deserves at least 8 games and really should get a full season for leaving the scene. There was a reason he took off without checking to see if any of the victims were seriously injured, and we all know what it was.

But the players union is very strong, so a whole season would never fly, so half a season seems a likely compromise. Not a Chiefs fan, but hope he actually learns from this and gets his shiot together. Has the world at his fingertips if he doesn't screw it up.

I believe the league will levy a suspension that is one year, and then it will be arbitrated to 6-10 games is my guess. IF the levy 8 games it will get arbitrated down lower. Honestly I could see them trying to throw the book and leave it as ongoing like the Gambling suspensions and see if they can arbitrate to 10 or more.

They don't need to decide now, so I expect a lot more info will come out as the real world legal stuff unfolds. I expect they will defer as long as they can and then add an "indefinate suspension around Sept 1 pending more info" or, go for the 1 year as Phic mentioned.

He's affected at least 3 Hired Guns teams so far, how many more? 😁

Steelers declined the fifth-year option on RB Najee Harris, giving him the ability to become an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Steelers are not ruling out a deal later on.
