It could have been much worse for the two schools as the penalty for withdrawing from the Big 12 without giving 12 months notice is supposed to be 90 percent of their conference revenue which was estimated to be a whopping $30M for each school. The Big 12 will welcome TCU & West Virginia into the conference as replacements for the Aggies & Tigers next season.
