It's only preseason but its going to be a long season if Lefty is the starting QB come week 1. The Lions starters made the Steelers starters look silly. Lefty has not changed and he still sucks. For the Qtr and a half he "played" Pitt couldnt move the ball and looked really sad in the red zone. They couldn't move the ball and all i could think how long this season is going to be. Come 2nd qtr with Dixon in Pitt looked good and moved the ball easily. The mobility that Dixon gives the offense over Lefty is amazing. The way he scrambled and threw the ball down field to Battle was a big play that led to a TD. And its obvious that Dixon should be the starter come week 1. And these announcers are really ticking me off. The way they are talking about Lefty WILL be the starter no matter what. WTF? Am i the only 1 watching this game? What fkn game are they watching? Lefty sucks always has sucked and always will suck. Tomlin has 3 games to come to his senses and give Dixon the ball.

On Detroit, With the starters in the game they looked really good. Moved the ball easily and the defence made Lefty and co. look pathetic. They definitly look like a team to contend with this year if they can stay healthy.
 
2nd half was fun to watch, not listen to. Dixon is a playmaker and made plays to keep the offence on the field. Yes it was mostly against 2nd and 3rd stringers and guys who will end up on the practice squad but i'm more talking about the poise this guy has. The announcers are in love with Lefty. Talking about him like hes the next best thing to sliced bread. Funny comment made was, " Byron was out of sync because the O-line had problems blocking, Give Byron time and he'll pick apart a defence". WTF? who are they talking about? Lefty? Are you kidding me? Just because the guy is immobile you blame the offencive line? And if the O-line was the problem, dont you think Dixon would have had the same problems, maybe worse since he didnt have the privilidge of playing with the 1st team O. And to bring in Lefty because he knows the offence and was on the SB team a few years ago? Uh hello he wasnt here last year, Dixon was and he showed he has a feel for the offence. I am just really hoping Tomlin comes to his sences and sees how bad lefty really is. He might be great in practice, but i give that credit because he doesnt get any contact. Put him in a situation where there is contact and he plays scared. From what it sounds like coming from Steelers org is Lefty was brought in to play QB and will be the starter come week 1 while Ben is out. If they follow thru with that, as bad as it would suck, i hope they go 0-4 or 0-6 ever how many games Ben is out and Byron starts.
 
I was very happy with how the starting defense looked for Detroit. The D line looked great. And the offense looked good too. I still don't like the O line, but hopefully they get better.

The Lions first team D made Pitts first team O look stupid. But Lefty was QB at the time.

He looked good. He caught the ball, ran over people and did everything he was supposed to do as a RB. ALmost looked like Barry Sanders out there. He has talent and the skills now if he can stay healthy then lookout that O will put up some points.
