cbssports.com,
The Arizona Republic reports Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald underwent an MRI on Sunday morning after injuring his right knee during Saturday's preseason game against the Texans. The Cardinals are hoping it merely shows a slight sprain. Fitzgerald was injured on his lone catch -- a 16-yard reception.

Analysis: Coach Ken Whisenhunt and Fitzgerald both believe the injury is not serious and this test is merely a precaution. It would not be good for Fantasy owners if the Cardinals have to lose their top offensive weapon for an extended amount of time. Gone for the Cardinals are QB Kurt Warner and WR Anquan Boldin. In for Arizona is QB Matt Leinart. Fitzgerald's totals in games with Leinart and without Boldin aren't encouraging: seven catches for 196 yards and a touchdown. Still, it's pretty hard to pass up a proven talent like Fitzgerald. We can only hope Leinart is improved as a passer and Fitz can keep posting solid numbers. We think it's best to treat Fitzgerald as a No. 1 Fantasy WR, worth a pick between the end of Round 2 and the end of Round 3.

rotoworld,
Larry Fitzgerald revealed Sunday that his MRI revealed only a sprain in his injured right knee.

Fitzgerald says he'll "be conservative with it for a few weeks," which indicates that we probably won't see him for the remainder of the preseason. Still, the news is good. Fitzgerald should be 100 percent in time for Opening Day. In the meantime, Early Doucet will practice with Arizona's first-team offense.
