NFL Impact
Oklahoma's offense was record setting last year. Sam Bradford and DeMarco Murray were exceptional. Why? Perhaps because their offensive line was full of absolute studs. "Duke" Robinson was by far the best of the bunch. This OG is huge! He's one of the most intense interior linemen you will ever find. When on the field, he uses his natural size and reach to intimidate, dominate, and physically impair all defenders he lines up against. Robinson was a 1st Team All-American in 2007 and 2008; 1st Team All-Big 12 as a junior and senior. Although he's a large man, he can quickly get to the secondary and is agile enough to pull and trap. He is however weak when moving laterally and will undoubtedly have trouble against quick defensive tackles if he is not helped out by the linemen around him. In the NFL he will be an asset right away, but perhaps not on every team. "Duke" is a run blocker first, and was able to get away on natural strength on the college level, but with the speed that defenses have in the NFL, he will be a better fit on a primarily running team. "Duke" Robinson will fall to late first round, and likely early second round because of the great OT coming into the draft this year. Still, being the best OG himself, he may make it before a lot of those OTs. In the NFL he will have to train his foot work. While it is fine at the college level, Robinson found that he did not have to push himself too hard. Naturally he was strong and long, so his work ethic was never all that good. If he can manage to train this offseason into a nice work out routine, "Duke" could be a top O-lineman in the league for years to come.

So where do you think Robinson will land? How successful will he be in the NFL?

I think that Duke will fit in nicely in Pittsburgh. They have the last pick of the round, and I can see Duke falling to there. He would be an excellent addition to their O-Line.

your right that he would be a great fit there. I won't be surprised at all if this kid goes earlier than he's being projected now. This is a beast of an offensive lineman, regarless of position. He could end up in the 18-25 range by draft day.
