A bit of Outlaw help needed

OK, I'm not usually this much of a candy ass where I ask for advice, but........

I joined a new league just because they are drafting early and I need a fix. I traded down to the 1.11 and 2.02 position. PPR league with the standard 10/1 for rushing and receiving and 20/1 for passing. All TDs 6 points. Two keepers only so I'm not that concerned about my pick being a keeper for next year. The first 8 picks had a couple stretches (big ones) and went like this:

1 Peterson
2 Chris Johnson (major reach)
3 MJD
4 Calvin Johnson (I traded out of this spot and the guy made a reach)
5 Steven Jackson
6 Michael Turner
7 Larry Fitzgerald
8 Matt Forte

At this point, I am assused of one of these. Westbrook, Gore or Deangelo Williams which makes me pretty happy. My dilemma is which one. Westbrook is my first thought, but he is getting older and is injury prone, but what a PPR god when healthy. I think Gore is in for a big yardage season, but his receptions went down when Hill took over and he doesn't get a lot of TDs. Williams had a huge season, but that was his first and Stewart is waiting in the wings. Of course, at least one will be drafted and narrow my choice and maybe two will be drafted and make my choice for me. But what if all three are still there?

Just looking for some thoughts from my fellow Outlaws............:xpopcorn:

I'd be pretty happy if LT fell to me in this spot. Jump on him if he's available and you'll still have one of the aforementioned backs available when you come around with your 2nd round pick. Although with that 2.02 you may want to look seriously at Andre Johnson in a PPR league. He'll be as valuable as Fitz IMO if Bolden re-signs with AZ. And way more valuable than Calvin.
I like Westbrook alot but he'll also virtually guarantee one or two weeks with zero points when he's dinged up.

Thanks. I actually have AJ targeted in the 2nd round, but will go one of those RBs if he is gone. LT worries me a bit, but I guess he shouldn't worry me any more than Westbrook........

I am kind of hoping that someone takes Williams because it would be real hard to pass after 2008, but I just have a bad feeling...........

I can say this about that: I kind of recognize the names of the players, but until I flush March Madness and finish sorting through the NFL draft and preparing for MLB, there just ain't enough room in my skull.

Propers to those who have enough room

I guess this is pretty weird to me, that they would hold a draft like this before the actual NFL holds their draft.

If I was you, I'd look at getting Andre Johnson with your 1.11 (though wouldn't be surprised if he's taken before it gets to you). With Brady back, gotta think that Randy Moss is gonna have value again. My guess would be that 1.09 and 1.10 will be Gore and Westbrook. I'd be inclined to take one of Gore/Westy/AJ with 1.11.

Well, that is a lot of information to process................

GO SF GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...GO SF GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're going to draft two guys here, so what you do could dictate the next round.

If you jump on two of anything, that will make some of them change strategy.

isn't that Lincecum commercial for mlb2k9 great?

The Big Unit says, "you should put a towel on".

I wonder how many people catch that joke?

What a pitcher he is. He looks like he's about 12. Little Timmy Lincecum........

The Giants can have a good staff this year if Zito can come around and win 14 games or so. Doesn't seem much to ask for the huge contract.

Thanks. Yeah, first time I have ever drafted this early, but that was pretty much the sole reason I joined. They needed one more and I wanted a fix. Kind of fun though.........

Good thought taking AJ at 1.11 to make sure you get the top 3 WR. I'll still get one of my desired backs at 2.2. Having an elite WR is fun...........

Nothing wrong with Andre Johnson. I do worry about the nicks and toughness. Too tough, aka Q.

like Duk says, it should be interesting to see how starting a draft before spring works out.

...
Randy (Tripod) Johnson. Lincecum wouldn't be able to pitch for a month if RJ rolled by without a towel.

One would need to know he is called the Big Unit for the joke to really settle.

Go Giants?? I'm a life-long Giants fan, and if lose less than 100 games, I'll consider it a success
But still, Go Giants, right?

On the North Shore they are surfing, which is to say the advice anyone should give anyone trying to draft a fantasy football team during March Madness, is this:

Start a thread and see how long it takes to start talking about baseball.

not a hint of a swing at efactor in any way. great questions with awfully tough answers.

Me too. Still having nightmares about game 6 in 02. How can Dusty take out Ortiz when he's throwing a shut-out? Anyway, I'm thinking .500 with that pitching staff. Hopefully Cain can figure out how to win in games he doesn't have his best stuff, Zito doesn't lose 10 games before the end of May and Big Unit finds the fountain of youth.

Molina hitting cleanup is a bad sign. They definitely need some sticks........

I guess this is pretty weird to me...
But you are weird.
"This is pretty weird to me..." said dukdown as he rolled like there was a reggae tune, "Ahh Plahyin' in his" head.

Buffalo Soldier. Often I ask people, when I'm drunk enough to talk to strangers without my mother present. "What does 'Buffalo Soldier,' mean"?

Listen to the lyrics, or listen to the idea. "you downt wanna be no hero fight eng for some other dude gonna make you fight again!"

Buffaloed into being a Patriot.

but anyway, that's how I see Dukdown, Roll. This role could have been yours...[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YI3KMMvPa9U"]YouTube - six days seven nights[/ame]

If you have never met Duk, he's alot like this. does that help?

As for what a Buffalo Soldier is.... I am supposing you are referring to when you heard the Bob Marley song by that title, mon?

A Buffalo Soldier is/was a member of the black U.S. cavalry regiments that fought in the Indian Wars. If you want to know more about them, read [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Buffalo-Soldiers-West-Black-Anthology/dp/1585446203"]this book[/ame]. In fact, the author, "Cowboy Mike", is a friend of mine.
