2010, Week 17, Are Divisional Only Games

NFL schedule will feature solely division games in last week of season - ESPN

Exactly what I was thinking, derringer. This is going to mean, for basically every team looking for a bye in the playoffs, that they cannot bench their starters if they want to win. This will REALLY help fantasy owners, lol.

But, if the spots are clinched, it won't change the sitting IMO. But it does set up some possible showdowns which is awesome to see.

Won't this also reduce the chances of having back-to-back match-ups in the first round?

We had 3 or so of them last year.

I can see how it could - but I don't see why it would be this scenario any more or less often than currently.
