Eh, it's a free ESPN league, so I'm not taking it too seriously. I don't plan to sit pat on the roster I have now, I'm always playing the waiver wire and I'm going to try and work at least a couple trades.

That's a point. We just did the draft, so everybody is probably feeling good about some of their picks. I'll follow your advice and sit on it.

    MIA WR Brian Hartline news

Don't think so, at least so long as personal injury to another party wasn't involved.

Two RB, two WR, and a RB/WR flex. I plan on starting three WR more often than not, which means Gore has to be himself and one of the three additional backs has to be a solid producer. As for the Ryan/Young trade, Ryan might have more value but I'm in a bit of a jam with the bye week debacle.

I see Jones as the pounder in that backfield. He's going to play in the heavier sets where the smaller Charles and McCluster aren't suited. Weiss might also go with some Pony sets where Charles/McCluster and Jones are in the backfield at the same time. [B] Childress subbed AP out a lot in...

    MIA WR Brian Hartline news

No, that's the same accident, there's just more details.

Boldin not being there is going to mean more targets for Fitz. He'll put up around the same numbers, I think, but the AZ pass offense isn't going to be as prolific.

Lack of RB depth? Sorry, don't see it. I drafted my beast in Gore, landed an older but still productive back in Thomas as the primary backup, took Gerhart who's going to be a TD vulture, and I should be charged for Grand Larceny for drafting Slaton when I did. If nothing else, my backfield can...

    MIA WR Brian Hartline news

No, the truck thing happened in Florida, they were in Cali when it happened. As I understand it, one of his cousins was borrowing the truck while Hartline was away. And it's not unusual for professional athletes to have their lawyers respond to any official inquiry.

    MIA WR Brian Hartline news

The problem with the assertion that Hartline was the driver was that he wasn't even in Florida when it happened.

I love Marshall, obviously, but Fitz is still the best WR in the league and he was available.

Channing Crowder DOES NOT injure foot

Even more hilarious is that it was actually an old ESPN ticker feed, not an NFLN one. So he couldn't even get that right.

Right, put another way, how do you think my draft went? This was sorta impromptu, as I don't usually participate in standard leagues and am not used to having zero preparation.

Revis - Yes he will; no he won't

Revis isn't the best corner in the game, Asomugha is. Revis is without a doubt the best technician of all corners, but nobody is scared to go after him because he can be burned. Should he be payed? Yeah, but not Asomugha money.

Brandon Marshall has unkown surgery, out until camp

I don't recall commenting on Brandon Marshall until he became a Phin. He's always been an outstanding player. Did he make some mistakes? Absolutely, if for no other reason than being in the situations he was in. Does he deserve a second chance? IMO, there are few humans that don't and they all...

Brandon Marshall has unkown surgery, out until camp

I find it amusing that people are trying to find something to justify shitting on Marshall. Then again, I was just watching the 2000 Ravens SB documentary and they mentioned several times how that was pretty much the case with Ray Lewis, funny how he's been squeeky clean since that mess.

    Bounce Back Players

I wouldn't touch LT in a fantasy draft, I just can't trust that he'll produce anymore. Besides, think about his role; the Jets know he isn't a between-the-tackles guy, that's Green's job, so he's going to be the third down back to replace Leon Washington. I project Washington's previous stats...

Cold Weather Super Bowls.....love or hate?

The Japanese have about 70 semi-pro or pro football teams in (I think) four leagues. American sports in general are big there.

Cold Weather Super Bowls.....love or hate?

Hate the idea, more for the fact that the decision to host in NYC came down to NFL front office nepotism. If it had been Mile High, then I'd be confident the NFL truly believes cold weather Super Bowls can work. However, the ultimate neutral zone would, IMO, be Hawaii. The NFL should take all...
