WAS - placed RB Antonio Gibson on IR
BUF - Hamlin update - per medical reports he has been much improved, still in ICU and still critical, but reports state early tests show he is still neurologically fully fine, so no loss of brain function due to lack of oxygen. Still working through some lung issues.
BUF/CIN - per reports leading option seems to be NOT to play the game. However that could effect final playoff standings. Some folks are saying it could mean they move to winning percentage as the lead option OR maybe even add one extra WC team so no team gets bye first week. All of this is conjecture though.
TB - rumor is team may give Kyle Trask some time in this last game
ARI - team has restructured J.J. Watt's contract adding on a void year - so his cap hit will only be $2.4 million next year, and then $4.8 million in 2024

This would be sooooooooooooooo Roger Goodell/NFL. Let's change the ENTIRE football season over this game being missed. We can even add another game, which means more money. YAY!

So do they have 8 in the AFC but only 7 in the NFC? Do they add another team to the NFC? I'm sure the Eagles would be thrilled with that

NFL officially cancels Bills-Bengals

A few rumors on CBS about possible scenarios being discussed by the NFL. One was KC getting to decide if they want a bye or home field thoughout the playoffs since if they win against LV, they get the #1 seed. Another is if the Bills or Bengals end up playing the Chiefs, the game would be at a neutral site.

One decision made, but many others to come

Ok it’s all final
Game is cancelled
If any team gets top seed and has less record championship game will be neutral site.
Even if Cincy loses they keep division title due to winning percentage even though they lose head to head tie breaker. If Baltimore and Cincy meet coin toss for site

SF - Elijah Mitchell expected to play this week
NFL - scenarios with the rule change for the BUF v CIN game canceled:
Owners will vote on the resolution Friday in a special league meeting.

Here are the scenarios that would result in a neutral site for the AFC Championship Game:

Scenario 1: Buffalo and Kansas City both win or both tie this week. Then, a Buffalo vs. Kansas City championship game would be at a neutral site.

Scenario 2: Buffalo and Kansas City both lose and Baltimore wins or ties this week. Then, a Buffalo vs. Kansas City championship game would be at a neutral site.

Scenario 3: Buffalo and Kansas City both lose and Cincinnati wins this week. Then, a Buffalo or Cincinnati vs. Kansas City championship game would be at a neutral site. The proposal goes like this: “If Baltimore defeats Cincinnati in Week 18 it will have defeated Cincinnati, a divisional opponent, twice but will not be able to host a playoff game because Cincinnati will have a higher winning percentage for a 16-game schedule than Baltimore will for a 17-game schedule. If Baltimore defeats Cincinnati and if those two clubs are schedule to play a Wild Card game against one another, the site for that game would be determined by a coin toss. If Cincinnati wins the Week 18 game or if Baltimore and Cincinnati are not scheduled to play one another in the Wild Card round, the game sites would be determined by the regular scheduling procedures.”

NFL - per this CIN has won the NFC North regardless of if it wins this week or not:
“If Baltimore defeats Cincinnati in Week 18 it will have defeated Cincinnati, a divisional opponent, twice but will not be able to host a playoff game because Cincinnati will have a higher winning percentage for a 16-game schedule than Baltimore will for a 17-game schedule. If Baltimore defeats Cincinnati and if those two clubs are schedule to play a Wild Card game against one another, the site for that game would be determined by a coin toss. If Cincinnati wins the Week 18 game or if Baltimore and Cincinnati are not scheduled to play one another in the Wild Card round, the game sites would be determined by the regular scheduling procedures.” Per PFT
