Senior Bowl

Who looks better to me?

Anthony Dixon, RB, Mississippi State. I like what he showed against the cream of the crop, and that 245lb frame is very nice....

Joe Webb, QB/WR, Alabama-Birmingham - Moved to WR for the game, has impressed, and has a big frame at 6-3 223.

Not watching the game but Ive heard a few reports...obviously Tim Tebow is not doing very well. Tony Pike has made some good impressions...will probably go as the 3rd QB after Clausen and Bradford. Not many surprises at the skill positions. Gilyard has been doing his thing and Dickson has looked good. Ciron Black has been moved from left tackle to right guard as he has put on a little weight...this will probably hurt his draft stock.

Word is the most impressive guy so far is McCluster.

This is off the top of my head...will post when I remember anything else

Yeah, I heard great reports about Washington.

Ive also heard some big things about both small school QBs, but for the life of me I cant remember their names now.

CB Kyle Wilson, Boise State. Natural instincts, good footwork, quick back peddle, quickness, elusive with impressive field vision. He's an aggressive runner with good ball hands. He's not as big as some would like and some worry that he might be limited to the nickel role. He isn't the greatest (yet) at weeding out the fakes and playaction, but is projected to become a playmaker in the secondary and a difference maker on special teams.

Named 2nd Team All-WAC in 2007
Named 1st Team in 2008 & 2009.
Earned 2nd Team All-American honors in his senior year.
Averaged 12.6 yards on 63 career PRs with 3 TDs.
Returned 2 INT for TDs in 2009.

;)

EPSN reports both the Patriots and the Cowboys include Wilson in their draft watch list.

Kyle Wilson, Dexter McCluster and Mardy Gilyard.

The only other "sure" player I think in this draft, next to Suh, is Sean Witherspoon. His Senior Bowl practices are reported to be phenomenal.

I agree on Gilyard RH, from what I read he has been one of the best WR's all week. McCluster has been getting rave reviews as well.

Mike Iupati, G, Idaho has has an excellent week and may have locked himself into the first round.

LeGarrette Blount has been a beast this week and I'm looking forward to see what he does in the game. he has been a violent runner but his pad level is a concern. The character concerns are there and will take him off of several draft boards, but he could really fit on a team looking for a thunder type in their RBBC.

DVR'd this so just got done with the first half, here was some of my first half observations:

Brandon Graham, DE, Mich - WOW.....not too many times I get real excited watching a Michigan player, but this kid is impressive. Had good pass rush skills, disciplined, and great motor. Like what I saw here. Very versatile player who can make an impact.

Ipuati, had a good half, but had one real bad play where got beat for a sack.

Gilyard, more I see, more I like. Great returner, improving WR skills.

Blount, runs very upright, but looks very quick for his size, good feet, and does not go down on first contact. Kid runs tough, keep his nose clean and I like what he can do in the NFL.

Ed Dickson, TE out of Oregon, don't know alot about him, but liked the little bit I saw out of him.

Dorin Dickerson, looks out of place at WR, would be better at TE or HBack IMO.

Tony Pike, did some decent things but overall did not wow me.

Sean Weatherspoon (LB, Mizzou), very impressed. Good vs the run, and stood up against the pass as well. Did a nice job one on one with Dexter McCluster in the redzone in coverage.

Terrance Cody, damn this is a big boy, but I must say, he has very quick feet for a 370 lb mountain! If he can control his weight, he is a LOAD!!!

Stafon Johnson, not much to say on his play, but after all he's gone through, he's a guy I'm pulling for.

Taylor Mays, needed to show he can stand up in coverage and showed nice field awareness on his interception. Nice play by him, need to see more plays from a guy with that much talent. He did himself well this week.

Zac Robinson, best QB so far IMO. He looked crisp and looked to be the most ready to make the jump.

Will post my second half impressions when I get though it.

Still, its Cody vs college guys.

I have major reservations about him making it more than a year or two in the NFL.

Second half observations:
Graham continued to dominate this game and led a North defensive front that was dominant! Kid does not stop either.

Blount, continued to show the same things, he can simply move a pile and does not go down easy.

Dexter McCluster, lot has been said of him on here. Mixed reviews after this one. He took a lick and lost the ball, but came back with a nice screen later and showed his explosiveness. I like his best out of the backfield in a Darren Sproles type role more than as a WR I think.

Jacoby Ford, WR, Clemson, small, but shifty and good ret skills.

Mardy Gilyard, what a game! Nice routes, nice explosion, two nice deep grabs from LaFevour. Kid is a star!

LaFevour - Mixed bag, but in the end more good than bad and has good mobility and throws a great deep ball. In the end, he was the best QB in this game.

Dakota Watson - under-rated LB out of FSU, gritty player, puts his nose in the action.

Ben tate, RB, Auburn, good natural running skills.

Tim Tebow....ummmm...not trying to hate, but even Tebow fans have to admit that was tough to watch in the second half. His long delivery is a MAJOR issue, just asking for problems in the NFL. But his ball security was his biggest issue in this game. he was shakey for sure. On the plus side, from the gun he showed good accuracy.

Javier Arenes, DB, Bama, good shiftyness and vision in return game. Impact could be felt on ST's.

Sean Weatherspoon, if it was not for Graham he would have been the talk of the North's defense. He just makes plays, his stock rose today.

Miller's awards:

Offensive Player of the Game: Mardy Gilyard
Defensive Player of the Game: Brandon Graham

Honorable mention: Sean Weatherspoon.

Those three IMO made the biggest impressions on me.

Still, its Cody vs college guys.

I have major reservations about him making it more than a year or two in the NFL.
If he can't get his weight down you may be right, but if he can, he is actually amazingly athletic for a man of his size.

He is his biggest obstacle, if he stays out of his own way and can get to the 340 area, he can have a nice career as a disruptive NT in a 3-4.

Youre 100% right. What he does between now and the combine will be very telling. Will he get his ass in gear? Get serious? Drop some weight?
