Okay, I too don't get this. you just resigned Williams, and you have Stewart for at least this year I believe. Why sign Tolbert?

So...who would be dealt?

Stewart hasn't be all that, so value would be limited. Williams has the big contract. Still, if he is totally healthy, I can think of one or two teams in Ohio that could use an all around back like him. :stirthepot:

Here's a thought... Tebow/Stewart trade? Broncos need a RB and the Panthers need a backup QB.

I saw that Tolbert is listed as a FB now. The deal is 8.5 mil for 4 years? I thought Tolbert wanted to be a starter. If 8.5 mil was all it took for the Chargers to get him back, why not pay him that? That is way cheap for a RB of Tolbert's caliber.

The only reason this would make sense is if they already have a back door deal working with another team for Stewart or DWill.
