The DEEP END........ mid to late draft gems

Last year I was very high on Hillis, Gaffney, Mercedes Lewis, and Fitzpatrick as guy you could draft at will late and impact your squads. This year I feel very strongly about a few players who have plenty to offer late though a few of them are already creeping up the boards.

-Fitzpatrick, Campbell, and McCoy can all be had late, almost at will in drafts, and make great #2's if you went after one of the top 5 or 6 Qb's this year in the early rounds. All three have added to their weaponry this year yet will still be plaing from behind enough to put up the big numbers needed.

-Hightower is the guy I alluded to above where the word is out. If he holds on to the ball, he can crack the top 10-15 this year and his numbers will be enhanced in ppr. He IS a difference maker this year mid-draft. A guy to do much worse than to land Tolbert as a #4 RB then count his double digit TD's. He will account for about 35-40 receptions which enhance his value in both formats. I have a few DEEP Rookies Rb's that I willmention at the bottom of this post, so stay tuned. Another guy that will be handy as a bye week injury fillin is Willis McGahee. John Fox will use two backs heavily and Willis will have a chance to scare 8-10 Td's and should snag around 28 passes. This will make him a fine #4 to #5 Rb pick who just might save your ass a few weeks this year.

-I have to start my Wr list with Nate Burleson. He is gonna have a great year, and thank you Calvin for scaring the hell out of the other guys. Nate will be there for you on the otherside, and Stafford likes what he's seeing. Don't be afraid to grab Donald Driver!! He is going scream out of the box, and be one of those sell high canidates for your squad. All eyes will be on Finley and Jennings and driver is going to go off the first half of the year and be a valid WR#2. People still overlook Lance Moore and he will lead the Saints in recptions and be second only to graham for TD's. he makes a great #4 Wr who will produce great at flex and not hurt in ppr situations. Remember Antonio Brown from Pittsburgh. I didn't latch on to him after his 2 TD game in preseason week 3. I have been touting him ever since Emmanuel Sanders left the door open with an injury. Once Ben start throwing your way he forms habits (grab him off the wire or spend a last pick on him!!!) My last Wr to mention is Eric Decker.....grab him as your #5 Wr and celebrate week 1 when he finds the endzone atleast once.

- My TE's are Jerrod Cook, Pettigrew, Shiancoe, and Fred Davis. All four make great #2 Te's when you spent early on the likes of Gates, Witten, Finley and Clark. If you want to catch the second wave latch on to Daniels or graham. All of the above are in great situations this year for different reasons, and all should be quite valuable more than once in the upcoming long season.

-When it comes to rookies I've had to look DEEPER with season ending injuries to Williams and Leshoure. I'm really liking the oppurtunity which might land on Jamie Harpers lap with the Chris Johnson holdout, which just got more involved with money paid out to Fitz and Vick. Harper is a bull. He is 5'11" and 233, with 4.5 speed. Ringer (5'9" 195) will get some looks early but this kid (Harper) will take over the bull work if Johnson holds out. I loved what I saw out of Taiwan Jones last night. He looked like Chris Johnson out there and I just don't trust McFadden to handle the load again and Bush is always iffy. Stash Jones away if you have the room. Julius Thomas from Denver could hurt the production I am hoping Decker will get above. he is a redzone specialist and Orton is gonna use him. One last guy I need to throw in isn't very DEEP, but he is gonna explode in a handful of games then take over next year in Green Bay for Driver, and that is Randall Cobb. If you have the room to roster this guy do it. The Packers don't miss on these receivers.

Remember......it's not always about the studs, or those guys we pick in rounds 1-7. IT'S ABOUT WHAT WE LAND IN THE DEEPEND!!!

Goodluck everyone, It's almost ON!

How did I forget Evan Moore!!! He lines up as a wideout but still carries the the TE designation. He has the best hands on the team, and will make life easier for Little, and Hillis as he stretches the field. He was last years reining yards per catch guy and this year he will add a biut 3 dozen catches to his total. He can be had on the wire right now. Great possiblities with he, McCoy and all the young talent on the browns squad, if they can just use some imagination on offense. Shurmer should be able to pull that off in his Holmgren based offense, which.... by the way, loves TE's deep and down the middle!!!

I love Moore and Kendricks and included Taiwan Jones above. I left Kendricks off my Rookie DEEP list because he was the #1 Rookie TE, but could and should have included him with my regular TE list above.

My favorites are Anotonio Brown, WR, PIT and Nate Burleson, WR, DET.

Hightower has been steadlily moving up the ADP ladder and is not a late rounder anymore.

I also like Delone Carter, RB, IND. He has shown great running ability throughout the preseason. I see Addai going down this year and Brown sucks.

:yellowlaugh: I do like him this year. However, I wasn't going to say anything because I am not real confident about it.
