Texans CB Dunta Robinson has been given the franchise tag. The tag will be 9.957 mil!

The Houston Texans, unable to reach a deal with their top free agent, placed the franchise tag on cornerback Dunta Robinson.
Robinson's one-year tender will be $9.957 million, the average of the NFL's five highest-paid cornerbacks. The Texans tried to reach a long-term deal with him, but, by franchising him, they have until mid-July to do so.

Interesting to see what the Texans homers feel about this. I think Robinson is a guy they would like to get locked up long term.

I'm really quite surprised by all of these tags this year... I mean, not upset or disapointed, just... damn there's a lot of them!

As has been stated before all of the tags are because of the uncapped year next year and many of the tagged players will get long term deals worked out more than likely.
